Wednesday, May 18, 2011 we all woke to a frosty Yellowstone Park, cold enough that I stayed bundled in my sleeping bag for a few more hours holding my bladder back the entire time. We planned for another full day in the park and hit more of the sites trying to capture some of the “beautiful” morning light before the midday sun and flocks of tourists got on the roads.
2008, Patrick I tried to make it to Scale Nationals, we ended up breaking down outside of Rawlins, Wyoming and sitting on the roadside for 8 hours until a friend came and picked us up. I tried to get my Jeep fixed in time to make it, but I just couldn’t get it done on time. Fast forward to 2011, planning for the trip to Montana began earlier in the year. We planned to get Patrick (666), Danielle (Patrick’s girlfriend) Tim (tmyjeeper) and myself to split gas and some of the costs, as time went on we realized 4 people plus all our stuff wouldn’t fit into my little Subaru. Patrick and Danielle decided that renting a car and following Tim and I would work out best for everyone.

Being that we were the first to offer our help with Spec, we requested to judge the Wraith course, and couldn’t have been happier when we were told that we would in fact be the judges for that course. As luck would have it, we also had the opportunity to setup the courses that these spec rigs would be running on. Continue reading
