75-100 hp with a stock motor, it clames 450 hp with a built motor but I highly doubt that. If I can get 50 out of it I would be tickled.

Makes sense. Didn't see the tube in the pic or the notches.

The 450Hp rating that they give is not what you could make out of the 1.6
What they are saying is the little 50mm compressor housing will support about 450hp.

Age of motor aside, I think you should net about 200-220 reliable HP from that engine. Again awesome work man.
You got any ideas about fuel management. Are you going to run the stock ECU?

If you redue the engine and drivetrain in this rig I would recomend a 4g63 DOHC turbo and GSX trans It is and AWD setup. The motor can be adapted to almost anything, it's a 4 banger stock can handle 400 crank all day.

Crank walk is a second gen issue, you want a 1st gen block,2nd gen head, 1st gen intake, after market turbo exhaust manifold.

Good to know. I tossed my first gen eclipse gst after it walked. Didn't have the money to fix it so I sold it off and bought a beat to hell Geo Tracker.

I am going to have him try the cheapest route first and see if we can get away with the stock computer and just bump fuel pressure with a rising rate regulator. If that does not work Then will will start looking into other options.

Its kinda funny for what the turbo cost he could have bought a 5.3 and be done with it.

Hahaha!
That's what I was thinking. Nothing like polishing a turd.
I just don't get the logic in dumping a ton of money into something crappy to still have it not be half as good as buying something decent in the first place that has a slightly larger initial cost. In the long run you'll have spent a heck of a lot less and have a way better "whatever it might be". Plus you know eventually you're just going to buy the better "whatever" in the long run anyways.

Aside from that Kami, looking pretty bad ass. Inspiring me to work on mine again.
