I'll try to get some pics of my half doors if you need them. Just make sure the top plate is thicker than the stock toyota metal, mine bent pretty easy.

How do you like the soft topper? Is it weather tight and how is the noise on the road? Im looking at one, it seems like a great way to shed some weight up high. How is it to take it down for sunny days? The runner looks great |

Well I went to Raush Creak this weekend, it was AWESOME! I will admit saturday I was pretty skeptical of a lot of things. Everyone kept telling me how the truck was walking the trails no problem but I was having a hard time getting a feel for it...but by sunday I was feeling better about it and was running some pretty killer black trails Here are some pics from the shake down run We had to do a trail side repair on our buddies Jeep, he snapped the shaft and ripped the ball joints out. My stepdad hit the part store up with my friend Bryan and got all the parts and had it fixed in about 2 hours total It was a good thing I unloaded half my tool box from work into the runner, we used just about every tool I bought at some point during the weekend some mudding At the end of the day we were heading towards rock creak and the runner puked a seal on the P/S box I was kinda bummed but hey shit happens right? We pulled the belt off and headed out the emergency exit and back to the hotel.. When we got back we figured out where it was leaking from and went to work to try and fix it the washer/seal on top of the box were the adjuster for the worm drive is self destructed...it wasnt looking good to obtain one so out came the Toyota FIPG sealant and we smeared on there and hope for the best. The next morning I dumped in some P/S fluid with stop leak and fired it up..NO LEAKS Back out to Raush found an RTI ramp and decided to see what the runner could do Not to bad for 3" springs and untrimmed bump stops running a black trail This was actually a pretty serious climb, although it doesnt look like dick in the pics...the jeeps went down, so naturally the Toyota had to go up it Messing around on the comp course Was an awesome trip, truck did really well I thought I can't wait to go back, hopefully with in the next few weeks we will plan another trip. I will say the the next to things that will be done on the runner is a 4.7:1 kit and a cage. Thanks for looking -MIke Edit* Here is a vid, one of many, more to follow http://www.youtube.com/user/ihaveabr.../0/B6Gb_xWmpVo Last edited by 1BadJeepBruiser; 03-30-2010 at 03:55 PM. | ||

My question is did you do the gas pedal fix yet? Sure don't want it to run away from you. |

Looks like it was a pretty awesome trip, I think Peterson last month or the month before had a write up of the Rauch offroad park, looked like an awesome place in the magazine.

do yu have the motor yet? i saw one on my local craigslist the other day. I actually got this rig to build and run at Rausch Creek, my friend is building a K5 blazer so i was gonna run circles around him lol. but my part time work that was paying for it dried up and then i spent what i had on a wraith. but now im trying to get back into it and of course Trail-Gear has all their kits on sale now that i dont have any money. |
