diesles are waaaaay to heavy, 4 cyl. have no power, a lot of jeepers keep the I6 decent power/torq at the low rpms, but it all depends on what build you do for what kind of crawler/trail vehicle

glad to see some one else sporting a YJ what are the mods on that? i plan on doing the rubi in september

its a beast of a truck you got.

diesels have low rmp and a lot of torque. not to mentin you can go underwater if you got a snorkel

the torgue just isn't enough to compensate for the weight, but you can go under water with gas too, with a snorkle
heres my YJ nothing special 3 inch body life :(, 32" procomp muds, custom J10 rear seat , brute force clutch, other then that its stock, but i think a lift kit is coming for my bday, then its off to get a Dana 44 for teh rear and regearing to 4.10s
even with it unbuilt, i make it go every were

Not sure when you are planning on doing this, but I have a set of D44's from a Waggy for sale (driver drop front and centered rear) that make a perfect swap for a YJ. And, I am planning on heading out to Reno to run the Con sometime soon. Or, I may head ot Arizona this year

I am getting toward the end of my project. I am doing a '92 YJ (Project Cheap Jeep (a guy knocked on my door and sold me this Jeep for $300 ) right now w/ D44 front (passy drop) D300 and an 8.8.

Check it out. Diff guard is the world famous Butt-Face by Russ Baer at Baertrax

bk night why dont you just make the leafs over the axle that will give you three inches of lift plus those gold extenders on their will have about 6 inch lift that would be the ticket right their
i went on the rubi about two years ago in my k5 broke my rear drivline put in my spare snaped my frunt one put in my spare blew my transfer case so i had to drive three hours home in 4 hi frunt wheel drive and 45 mph
it hella sucked

i've considered a spring over, it gives you about 4.5 stock, but i think my brother is getting my a lift kit for my bday, so we'll just have to see what happens, full cage and an ausie locker as next in line for it

After watching that it reinforces the "I understand the jeep thing, thats why I drive a Toyota". my 4runner has a 4 banger and dont have problems, well I also regreared the axles to 5.29's

Moved to chit chat. This is a Radio Controled Crawler forum, not a 1:1.

If it's not RC Crawling related, then don't post it in the videos section.
