Looks like a fun project, so far your body work looks great! One of my favorite trucks.

Wasn't sure if you were paying a glass guy to remove the rear window. It is really easy to remove, not worth paying someone to do it. If I remember correctly, all the hardware for the plastics and frame is behind the interior panel. The frame seal ends up leaking after a few years anyhow so good time to reseal the window frame.

Can't wait to see it finished.

Yeah, I've never had any luck with glass. So I just left that to the pro's. Thank you for the feedback.

I did pick up this little upgrade to the garage today and had a friend help wire an outlet for 240v 50 amps.

80 gal quincy USA MADE
Cast iron 2 stage compressor.
17.7 cfm @ 100 psi
17.2 cfm @ 175 psi

Should be a little better than my old 20 gal

Thanks, No I am not planning on any engine mods. I am not even sure if anything is already done to it either. The guy I bought it from didn't do anything to it either but he believes there was some work done previous. Either way, I am probably just going to drive it for a few months then send it on its way. It already has 93000 miles. I don't want to rack up many miles and kill what little profit there is.

Got the door jambs cut in today. New color is 2006 ford tungsten t8. Also finished the glass and body work on the bedside a few days ago.

Really need some opinions guys, This color "tungsten" I picked looks great in the can and in the garage but has a nasty purple flop to it out side. My question is do you think it is important to maintain a stock lightning color or should I go with what looks the best. I am asking for a re sell information. What would be important to you if you were interested in a vehicle like this? I really need help I am buying new basecoat tomorrow. Thanks

I like the darker color. Just my $.02 worth. So it has a wicked nasty purple tint outside?

Clean carfax but the truck was basically totaled and needed a complete rebuild. Do you plan on showing pics of what was involved w/ the rebuild? I'm not knocking you or what you're doing, the repairs look good from this side of the computer screen and it's obvious that you are taking your time to do everything right, I'm just curious how much you plan to tell a potential buyer.

I'd say that the stock color would be the best way to go, it will match the engine bay and everywhere else that would need a complete disassemble to completely change the color.

I don't hide anything, I have all the pictures to show full documentation. I couldn't sleep at night if I lied to people I sold stuff to.

I do plan on keeping the truck for a while, I am not just flipping this to make a dollar. If I was I would have just packed it full of filler, slapped some paint on and ship it.

Sorry if it sounded like I was implying that you weren't going to tell the next owner, I definitely didn't mean it to sound like that. I think that you are doing a great job on it, I wish I had those skills.

Have you decided to keep the stock color or use the newer color?

Small update for tonight. I picked up a gal of dupont chromabase Infinity Carbon silver k51. Got the doors and jambs cut back in for the second time. I am really happy with this paint. Just hope it looks as good in the sun. After the last paint issues I won't be sure until its outside. But it looks promising.
Pictures are taking with the flash off. This color really flops dark to light and gives a lot of depth to the parts.

you better cover up your Sunkist. You wouldn't want any over spray to ruin them
