That is cool to hear. I am definitely looking forward to some relaxing family weekends next summer.

Scored a set of 18/59 springs and Rubicon shocks. Installing these should give me another 1/2" of lift and a little firmer ride. I like the way it rides now for the most part, but the shocks are a little on the soft side. Getting on the brakes hard makes the nose dive and wander a little. This should help alleviate that issue.

Congrates on the jk! I have to agree that the 2012 is the best jeep yet (had yj's and tj's) and Ive owned my rubicon unlimited for almost a year now with no issues, most of which has had 37" Toyos on it and no lift. The bad news is you will still have the brake dive with the new springs and shocks but at least you will get a little more lift out of them.

Nice!

I swapped just the shocks out today to see the difference in the ride. It made a huge improvement in the overall handling compared to the stock shocks. No more dive or wandering under hard braking. The ride itself is a lot firmer, with less body roll in the corners. It's kind of like going from a luxury car to a sports car, as far as the change in ride.

Install was pretty straight forward. Only issue I ran into was accessing the passenger front upper shock mount. It was hidden behind part of the plastic inner fender. I broke out my trusty Lexan body scissors and cut it enough to fit my wrench on the upper nut.

A few shots of the rear shock swap.

Had a few hours to kill last weekend, so I took a last minute trip up to Cleghorn Ridge Trail off the 15. Found a light dusting of snow here and there in the shade. Wind was kicking pretty good too, which caused the clouds to move pretty fast over the top of the ridge. A few photos from the trip.

Coming togather great and with the subtle changes it looks awesome. I should be getting my JK the end of this month and it will be getting the TeraFlex 4" LCG lift and 37s.

I have some mods in mind, just need to find the funds to do it.

My old TJ did have an RCCrawler sticker on the back of it. I will look into the Jeep club, I live in Orange County so I am not too far away.

Cleghorn is a pretty fun trail. You can get some real good flex on some of the lines.

Did you go down that really steep hill at the very end?

Once saw a built Cherokee and TJ tumble down it right after each other. Thank god everyone was ok. Have video and pics somewhere.

I've got some Bilstein 5100 shocks for sale if your interested in upgrading those other ones you just got.

Thanks Dean. It is nice to get off-road again after being without a Jeep for a few years.

Yeah, it seems to be a pretty fun area and it is reasonably close to us.

No, I looked at that last hill once but haven't gone down. I need a little more clearance, bigger tires and some disconnects.

I have seen video online of rollovers on that hill too, pretty sketchy.

I will shoot you a message on the shocks.

How the hell did I miss this?

Nothing major going on at the moment, but we are working on some stuff.

We did recently add a Trasharoo bag for the spare tire. I need to take more close-up photos of all the features. It can be used as a trash bag, or for extra storage. The material used in the manufacturing is heavy duty! Plus, the molle strap system, zipper pouch and mesh netting are all awesome bonus features.
