Well this is SOOOOOO out of place here.. lololol. Anyway to start here is my 1969 Fiat 500 F. I sold my Wrangler and Ford before I moved to Italy, and now Im riding this sweet little baby. I'll be moving back to the states next year and I got my eye on that Ford Raptor or the FX4 in that beautiful electric blue. I had this car completely restored from a pile of junk to this while I have been here. It is a sweet 2 cyl. 650cc motor (I big step up from the original 498cc) Also has a Fiat Panda head giving it a few more HP, sport Camshaft, twin 36 Delorto carb, oil cooling... well a bunch of junk that makes it no where comparable to some American muscle If there is any interest, I have about 200+ photos of the restoration and can make a thread. But who really cares We go to a Fiat 500 rally every month over here in a different town. This was a few months ago. |

Yes i can bring it back with me, and i certainly will. Im trying to build a Fiat 600 or an 850 special also before i return. This restoration cost around $9,500.00 in the end (thats including the car purchase) a great investment since the sell from $15,000.00 - $22,000.00 in the states. (but ill never part with mine) my wife is from Italy and all 3 of my kids were born here so ill be back. Im hoping to build another later on to bring back for resale. Im working on a Fiat 500 car, but it is slow.... I only found 1 Fiat 500 body (1/ online and its from Italy. I ordered it and once it gets here im going to verify the wheelbase dimensions and decide on a chassis from there. However in the meantime to tide me over i just finished building the next closest thing in a kit.. The Tamiya M05 Fiat Abarth 1000 TC Berlina Corse. If you are unfamiliar with classic Fiats, the 1000 is actually a Fiat 600 (a tad bigger but similar to the 500) that was customized by Carlo Abarth with a 1000cc engine for race competition. Here it is. I will post up a build thread of my 500 soon. Last edited by Trixxx; 01-13-2013 at 02:12 AM. |

My parents had a Fiat 850 back when I was in high school (mid 90's) gas was $1/gallon and we could cruise it all day on a couple gallons fun little car! First car I owned was a Fiat X19, was given to me when I was 14, fixed it up and sold it for $2500, never even got to drive it LOL. |
