NICE! We had a dark blue one fairly modded a couple years ago,ran 11.23 at Bristol (Bristol Motor Speedway/Thunder Valley Dragway),fun car (and almost 2 seconds faster than the Mustang GT ragtop that I bought new in '94/sold last year,it was all motor, which was just a tick slower than the S-Blazer with an '00 LS2 in it*). Neons are much better cars than they get credit for too...well,the 2nd gens are (1st gens had that pesky head-bolt issue,as did some early 2000 models...my wife's ES included, but we fixed that years ago with a '02 head, has over 150K miles on it,she drive it to work every day),LOL! Cool score (*What do I drive now knowing I had at least 3 nice n quick rides-oh,there were several more BTW-? a '98 Mercury Villager minivan ) |

Awesome ride bud! I drove a 2004 I think it was SRT at the local dealer. The salesman didn't even hop in to ride Very Very impressive performance from such a little motor! I backed out at 138 MPH after hitting a HUGE pothole. Thought I was gunna die |

Nice! I also just bought an '05. Bright silver metallic 95k on the clock. Pulled in the garage for a leaky trans, thought it was an axle seal, ended up being a leaky input shaft seal. Needless to say my wallet is empty and I had a big turbo show up on my doorstep. Funny how that works |

Haha thats normally how it goes. I dont have any huge plans for mine, took the stock spoiler off, gonna color match the eye lids. Wouldnt mind a 2.5" catback and maybe a diablosport to run 18-20 psi but not sure on the last one since this is my daily. |

That's why I'm happy with the Pentastar in my 200, no turbos to want to upgrade! It's bad enough knowing that there is a CAI and a couple exhaust systems available , if somebody cooks up a programer for those things...........

ACT HD 6 puck. Also while you are in there change the TOB fork with a DCR modified unit. EDIT: if your not even sure about a DSP then i would just replace the clutch with an OEM. Definetly put a DCR TOB fork though. The stock units wear bad and cause hard shifting Last edited by Scale_Crawler; 03-13-2013 at 05:42 PM. |

Not sure about the rims, but I'm digging the blacked out bodywork. Did you use actual paint or Plasti-Dip?

Nice ride the only experience I have with one is bad and it was heavily modified and the owner wouldn't leave it alone so it ne er ran right after he would get it back. That being said I've seen very impressive vids on YouTube

The front bumper is plastidip but ill be redoing it in gloss black since i know it looks good. Most people think the wheels are red from the pics, but they are actually florescent pink.

Flourescent Pink huh? Kinda figured it was that or Fl. Red...... Good call on the window tint for the deck lid, instead of using gloss black for the front bumper, you might consider using the tinting paint for that too, that looks pretty good! |

Wow I really like what you did with the trunk lid...hmmmmmmmm.... How is she running for ya? Clutch still holding on for now? Heres a couple of quick pics of mine. I JUST got it back on the road. Holding off on putting the precision 6262 until winter. I want to enjoy it this summer after the already long down time I had with it. |

Whats up guys, been a little over a year since i traded the Cougar off, still miss it. Figured id post a few newer pics for anyone that cares. Current mods are: CAI powder coated red, stock valve cover powder coated as well. 3" o2 Housing 3" Catless downpipe 3" Catback Forward Motion wastegate actuator, set at 18psi. Big front mount intercooler DCR clutch release fork and pivot ball Unknown front lowering springs, rears are stock with 1/2 coil cut off First set of aftermarket wheels she had, 17x7, sold them a while back and returned to stockers. Current wheels are 18x7.5 with 225/40-18 Falkens And i just picked these up yesterday, TSW VX1 IIRC, Dodge used them on the SRT concept but didnt use them to keep production prices down is what i hear. 17x7.5 trying to get a set of 235/45-17s for them. |
