So today I originally just did a straight tube across by cab for a nice easy windshield....

But decided I wanted it to v down a little to make brow. I also angled it outwards away from the up tubes by 22.5*. It won't be very fun trying to get a piece of polycarbonate to fit in there, but I think it looks better.

I also wasted time and tube on trying to start the roof. I was making it too tall and screwed up a bend :(

Ok, finally some progress again. Long story short, I had school finals and then the notcher broke.

So tonight I decided to use the cutting wrappers that bendtech can output and get another tube done.

It was pretty warm by the time I was done plasma cutting and grinding it. So I'll get it fitted to the jeep tomorrow night, maybe...

All my roomates/friends graduated and moved out of state. So I had to find a new place to live and turns out garages aren't cheap if you're living alone.

So it's been sitting under a tarp in my off street parking. I do plan on working on it slowly though. But I have to get an empty weeekend with good weather so i can wheel out all my tools

Finally got the outdoor fab shop setup again. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an epic failure and I wasted a stick of tube trying to create a notch. I either couldn't do the math or the math was lying to me.

Hopefully the weather will continue to be good when I get some time off from everything else I have to get done.

The notch in the red circle is the one I was trying to figure out. (Note, the cad cage is only for visual reference. None of the angles or dimensions match my cage)

PROGRESS!!!!

I finally made some progress...and I'm planning on to keep chugging along and having a sealed and structurally sound cab again by august 12th. I probably won't have the tube dash and corbeua seats in. But I do want it wheelable.

The roof is taller than I originally planned. I wanted it about two inches lower. But I suppose it turned out alright.

Start of the day.

I finally got a hoop made for the driver side roof. 3rd time is the charm I guess for getting it made correct.

This notch is nasty hard.

I got the passenger roof hoop made. It was abit more stubborn than the driver side

The tacks weren't so great. I was trying to hold it, align it, and tack it all by myself.

I made alittle more progress today. But the rain kept trying to sprinkle on me so I packed up the fab shop early.

Got the V on the roof done. But I think it's kinda crooked...

And some small little pieces on the back

A little more today. Here's pics of the driver side. I got both the driver and passenger side today.

If there's anyone on the fence on which plasma cutter to get. My little hypertherm kicks ass and I highly recommend it.

Started stripping out the dash today. Hopefully I'll get the heater core and other climate stuff stripped out this weekend so I can start building the frame for the tube dash.

Saw this build on Cherokee forums. Great stuff.

My girl and I took the July COTM with our HERO 99 build.
Good luck with the build.

Thanks,

I forgot to post but I did get all the heater stuff ripped out but I haven't had a chance start building the new dash. With school picking up and my budget getting tighter I probably won't make much progress again until spring time.
