Been lookin for some new tires. Just put 4" under my tj currently running 31x10.5s on stock rims. I've got a set of aftermarket 15"s in the shed with a 4" backspacing. Lookin at 33x10.50s but not sure tire. Don't want to go too extreme on tread, it is my daily driver after all. Won't go wider than 10.5 I don't play in the mud. After all this is northern Wyoming there isn't much anyhow. Most rock is sandstone and the soil is quite sandy. The snow doesn't get deep but the ice gets really nasty around town. I've always liked the bfg at/ko had 3 sets of those. Got a set of bfg km2's in 35x12.5 on my dodge, i like those but on the icy stuff whatever's in front of me dies. I like the looks of the Nitto terra graplers. I've been doing my research but i wanted the input of guys who play in the dirt too. Most tire reviews are done by pavement oriented people. Throw me yall's input I'd like to hear it.:mrgreen:

I put a set of 33x10.50 KM2's on my zuki and absolutley love them, I havent had any problems in the recent ice or snow. The terra grapplers are a good a/t tire, and have an attractive price point, but they are nothing compared to the KM2's when off road.

I like my Hercules trail digger 33/12.5 on my Nissan. 33/10.5 wildcats on my dodge. I did like my 35/12.5 bfg's on my Nissan when bogging. Pretty much go anywhere. They rubbed a little so I went to 33's.

I had General AT2's on my F350. They were good tires for load range 'E', good dry and wet traction, snow and ice was no issue, they were so-so in loose mud. Very quiet on the road.

Can't go wrong with the BFGoodrich all-terrain KO's, I know you said you used them before. IMO BFG's are the best tire out there, I have had a set or three on the last three jeeps I have owned and I have a set of KM's waiting to go on the WJ I just picked up. It currently has a set of Firestone Destination A/T's on it and they are not very good in snow.

I have a set of 32x10.5x15 Pro-Comp MTs on my Samurai (going on 2 years now) and dont have any complaints about them. Snow and Ice they do a good job, and for the rocks I air down and they do well there as well. Normally I go with the BFG KM2's in the MT or Boggers, but wanted something a little different for this lightweight rig.

I just picked up a set of Kenda Klever MTs load range E for my F-250. set of four only ran me $560 and so far I am very impressed with them. I haven't been out playing in them but have been through some decent amounts of mud and snow and haven't had a problem yet.

Saw a jeep today with 35/12.5 pitbulls. Very nice.

I too am a fan of BFG all terrains. Had a few sets on various trucks.

Put a set of load range E 265/75R17 General AT2's on my Fathers Tacoma that he hauls firewood with. I'm impressed. A very heavy, thick side-walled tire for sure. Seems just as good as the BFG's.

Only other comparable option would be a Toyo Open Country your choice of AT or MT, they both rock.

Does pitbull even offer a narrow tire?

31x10.50r15 seems the narrowest they offer and that is only on the growler. 237 a tire seem a bit much, with as soft a compound as they run the mileage can't be too great. I think the bfg at/ko's are gonna be the best way for me to go. I'll sacrifice extreem offroad grip for a happy medium of price and lifespan.

My wifes 4runner has 33x10.5 bfg km II's and they're pretty decent but they're not so much for an ice tire. The at/ko is a better choice for winter conditions.

big ones. And I'll agree with the km2's vs the KO's in the snowy/icy crap. I've got a set of km2's on my powerwagon in 35x12.5 and she'll wander a bit in the real slick stuff.

I have been running the General AT2 for about 2 yrs now on my Jeep and I kinda like them. I've had BFG ATs and MTs and liked them also,but with the Generals being cheaper I went with those. Didn't see much of a difference performance wise from the BFG ATs.

I run 255/85R16 (33x10) KM2's on my daily driven Xterra. My spare is also a 255/85 but it's the Cooper Discoverer S/T, which I'll swap to for all the tires once the KM2's are done. The Cooper Discoverer S/T are an awesome snow, dirt, gravel, pavement tire. They also can be studded.

I researched for a while for the proper narrow 33" tire for my uses. I have had great results with the 255/85 KM2's in sand, mud, gravel, snow and ice... The narrow tread and slightly tighter packed tread blocks probably give better bite on the snow/ice. Yet, I drop the tire pressure down to match the conditions I drive in. Having on-board air helps playing with tire pressures much easier.

The 255/85R16 KM2's weigh the same as the 265/75 BFG A/T's they replaced on my Xterra.

I currently have 33x12.5 KM2's on my XJ and I have been very happy with them. I run them around 10-12 psi on 8" wide wheels and have yet to lose a bead. At that pressure on a somewhat heavy XJ, they conform well for the muddy/wet rock we usually run out here. On dry stuff they are even better, just don't see it often. I ran Procomp MT's in the same size before these, and they just never worked that well IMO. Even at low pressure they never really conformed and the compound seemed harder too. The Procomps lasted right at 30k miles if I remember correctly, the KM2's are going on 22k with much heavier wheeling and are around 40-45% left. I also run airsoft BB's for balancing, 9oz per tire I think, and even with my bent steel wheels they still ride smooth for street use. Driveline vibes will come up at 75+ before the tires become an issue.

I'm Running 31x10.50R15 Nexen Rodian MT. They are louder than the Tires i took off (no idea what brand olds were lol) Don't have a Off Road report quite yet, but i LOVE they tread design (look like they should clear out easy enough) and for the street they seem to be going well so far (1k miles on them... lol) i'll keep updating. oh Price i paid 128$ per tire (Nissan Discount)

The Falken Wild Peaks have been making a big splash in the off road community. They're also coming out with an MT tire later this year or early next year. They're also cheaper than BFG's, etc. They've been doing great for me.
