Default My new Trailblazer SS

Picked up today for a very good price. Woman owned for past 3 yrs. Was left over in a divorce so I got it for well under book value. All stock. 105k on the odometer. Rwd 395hp/400ftlb 6.0L LS2 based off the corvette engine. Gonna be the new daily driver despite the piss poor mpgs

Wow, the K5 makes the TBSS look like a S-Blazer!

Not surprised, my parent's '06 Town a d Country weighs damn near as much as the two full sized Chevy window vans they had when I was growing up, not to mention I'm pretty sure my V-6 Chrysler 200 Touring weighs more than my '98 XJ Limited, and that Touring trim level is the lightest version of the 200 you can get the V-6 in

Really wanted to get a programmer for it but looks like they are really frowned upon by Chevy guys especially the TBSS ones. Looks like I have to take the ecm and TCM out and send them off.

Pita=pain In the ass.

Got to say, the ride will suck the fuel but the smile on your face will be priceless. I love mine and looking for a second to build up. Great find!

NICE! I have had a TB for a couple years now. I bought it with the intention of lifting it... but it is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned... so I could not bear to lift it! Mine is merely an LTZ tho. Still, I do love that 4.2, I tell ya!

Yea I am really impressed with the ride quality which I came from a mustang so anything would be better. Lol. Tinted the turn signals and layed some vinyl on the emblem. Going to order a pcmforless tune. $250 if I ship them my PCM/TCM. Should cure the awful shifting setup from gm and unlock a little more HP and torque. Plus they are going to program my rear 02 sensors out. That's all I really want to do mods wise. Should make it a little more fun to drive and save a little gas.

Well after a couple weeks I can say I love it. It rides good, stops good, sounds good, and its fun to drive everyday. Cleaned up the brakes. Smoothed and painted them. Waiting on ss emblems for the calipers now. Lowered the rear 2in and when I get time will lower the front to match.

Time to bag it, put on some TBSS 24"s and a Black Bear tune. I thought about buying a TBSS, but they hold their value surprisingly well. I hope you have many smile-filled miles with it! Congrats!

Here was my old rig.
