im shopping for a new set of rollers for a cherokee sport, and usually hit tire rack first but there is a LOT of places on the interwebs and a lot of deals to be had.. im aiming at a basic 5 spoke alloy wheel and looking for a mild street/trail tread 31x10.5. has anyone been especially happy with one vendor over another..? |

That's a good question. Been searching for a set of tires also and have a hard time pulling the trigger on anything. I've decided I'll have to get something local, say like Discount tire, Tires Plus or the like, mainly because unless you find someplace that has free shipping it'll cost a buttload to ship. Do your homework and check reviews. Surprising how the quality of "name brand" tires has gone down. |

The quality issue is one I'm struggling with too, I keep hearing bad things about name brand stuff. I am leaning towards general at2's only because I haven't heard bad things about them.. There is a lot of gripe threads but not many good quality ones for daily driver tires

I've bought a couple sets of mud tires from National Tire and Wheel and was very happy with the pricing and shipping time. I've installed lots of tires that customers purchased from tire rack and they all seemed pleased as well. I'm about to put the third set of General Grabber AT2's on my old man's Tacoma. He hauls firewood out of the woods with it and is really hard on equipment. No tire failures in almost 100K between the two sets. He runs them year round, and we have some pretty good winters. He just got an F-250 and I'll be putting another set of AT2's on it as well. If your not going in thick mud then you'll be very happy with either the General Grabbers of BFGoodrich All Terrains. The Goodyear Duratracs are a little more aggressive and a solid performer. |

Thanks for the reviews , I'm thinking I can't beat the at2. Price is right and decent tread, how is the noise and tramline effect?
