Bananaclip's 1.1 Trail Toy

Guy's as some of you know I am a big jeep fan. I have owned, built and hit the trails in at least 8 wranglers and 2 XJ's to date. I have always had a soft spot for older toyota's but they are very hard to find in decent shape in Wv (SALT). I have been chasing a certain second gen for the past 7 years but the original owner would never budge. A few weeks ago this gentleman called me out of the blue and asked if I was still interested in buying his truck (he was getting ready to retire). I was in shock and the timing wasn't good at all. We are expecting our first son in May. My better half was well aware of the truck and knew how long I have obsessed over it. She gave me the green light and that starts this thread! I am the proud owner of a very solid all original 84 extended cab8)

22r w 180,000 on the clock

This build is going to be slow do to the new addition coming but I already purchased, energy suspension body mounts, ruff stuff's ideal 63 kit with new perches and shock mounts, and I picked up some chevy leafs!

Yeah I consider myself very lucky. I bet you are kicking yourself. These little trucks have so much character. I will keep posting. I'm going for low with 33's or 35's, double cases, bobbed, gears, selectable lockers, etc. should be a pretty cool little yoder.

Updates..... Took the truck to my buddies shop for some inspection and repair.

following interior and front end removal I am very happy. I did have some typical areas under the heal area on both the driver and passenger floorboards. Out came the 4.5 and I now have a great view of the ground.

Re: Bananaclip's 1.1 Trail Toy

I do have some updates to report. I have the truck back home! I just received my Yukon gears with install kits a few days ago. I've started on my front bumper and have the winch plate knocked out. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to bob the bed or not. I know the benifits of the bobbed bed and love the looks but the bed is so damn nice. Idk it's a toy right? I will post some pics tomorrow guys"thumbsup"
