Aloha from Hawaii, Oahu to be specific. Well I figured I'd start a build thread off my lifted Tacoma....Yes I know my name is "808 Tundra" but at time I was 12 and my dad had a lifted tundra LOL. I'm 16 now and have my own truck, I know I need to change my name .Being 16 I have a limited budget so R/C has been on hold for a while, I still have a bunch a parts but not enough to build a full truck. My Tacoma should be done in a few months so back on the R/C train I'll be ok without anymore blabbing here's the start of the build. Mid 2015 when it was a stock '05 pre-runner DCSB(this isn't my truck, but it looked EXACTLY the same) Sadly don't have many pics because I got anew phone and wasn't able to transfer my photos . Anyway it was like this for all of a week until slight "modding" started, first thing was ditching the mud flaps and taking off the bed cover. After a few weeks of saving the bigger mods started to come into play, I picked up a set of black headlight housings and 6000K HIDs off eBay and Tacoma world. Also bought some interior LEDs,D-ring hitch, black mesh grill, and chopped and dumped my exhaust with a new tip. Also sprayed my axle and skid plate gloss black, After saving and working throughout the summer I finally was able to buy a pro comp 2.5" leveling kit and 1.5" AAL for my Taco Then came the real goods, found a great deal on Amazon for around $400 for a full set of 15x8 pro comps Also grabbed some 2" spacers for stance and to clear the front calipers. Got them mounted up with some used 29x10.5 TSL SXs off CL Ran it like that for around 6 months then took off the rims n tires and sold them, after that I just saved and saved till I was able to really do what I wanted to it, which is a 9" lift on 20x14s and 33s along with a bunch of other goodies. I don't have everything yet so I'll update as I go. Last edited by 808 tundra; 03-11-2016 at 11:53 PM. |

Cool man. A 9 inch lift with 33s would look sweet on that truck. I actually just got tires for my jeep today lol. I am 17.

Quick Update: I got the last few pieces to my front end lift, it will sit at 9" all suspensions. The setup is 4'' maxtrac spindles, bilstein 5100s with eibach 2.5'' springs, 2.5'' pro comp top plate spacer, and some SPC UCAs to correct the alignment and for a smoother ride. Also got some spacers(2-1.25'' & 2- 3/4") and steel braided lines. I also have some other things in the works but I don't want to reveal them just yet |

Well I have an update. I decided to change the build from a mall crawler to a nice clean daily driven fun truck. So the new setup will be a 5" lift instead of 9". I ordered my wheels and tires today, 16x10 MT classic locks plus 2" spacers(gotta have that stance lol) for tires I got 265x75 federal couragias.
