Default New Build 6.0 F250

So last time I posted a thread I was building my tacoma, well I love super dutys and it's always been a dream of mine to build one. I was looking at craigslist and found a dream truck, metallic grey 6.0 F250 mostly built already. It already has a fabtech 10'' lift and 20x12s with 37x13.5s, I have ALOT of plans for this build and it's not going anywhere. Anyway now I'm selling the taco to start paying off the SIX OH.

Definitely sub'ed. Of your running major boost you might want to do head studs and heads and that kinda stuff

The Super duty is truck I like to. I had one but sold that to try and get a h1 hummer. Just want to be careful with the 6.0. My suggestion would be is to not put a tuner on it and do head studs and don't baby it. That's one reason why guys have issues with these. Guys that use the 6.0 as a diesel normally don't have the issues that guys that baby a diesel. It's a nice looking truck. How many miles are on it?

I have done about half dozen stud jobs and as stated it is a must. REMOVE egr valve and cooler (no block off BS). DECK THE HEAD!!!! too many times guys dont bother and the POS warped heads will blow in no time again. install the revised fuel pressure kit and 6.4 Banjos. Finally get an sct tuner and quality custom tunes. I use IDP and Gearhead, Matt form Gearhead is hands down the best for a good solid reliable truck. These tunes will prolong the life of everything in the drive train There are several other little tricks here and there too. Read up on it for sure. I still have my 6.0 excursion (with 6spd) and its a solid runner, but many times this is not the case!!

Just have a Cummins on hand and your good to go

Truck is sick though man!! My excursion had 40s and those same Weld commandos, but shes low now and we just use it for camping trips

Ok so it don't have a lot of miles on the 6.0. The issue with these is the egr does not have the proper cooling and will add to much boost and blow the head gaskets. I think.

yup I'm gona get an egr delete, I was told I should buy a scan gauge 2 and a sinister diesel coolant filter( just ordered both ). I'm also looking into buying the "semi bulletproof package" from bulletproof diesel.

Yes to the scan gauge keep an eye on the oil and water temps that will tell you alot about how it's cooling. Hot shots stiction eliminator works great I had a few bad injectors and it cleared it up.
