Default Dad's truck

So as some of you may know my Dad passed away recently and one of the things he left me was his 2017 Silverado LTZ 4X4 and it's staying with me. He has done a few simple mods to the truck which will be staying and I will be doing a few things as well. It will have both of our influences in it. First few things it will be getting this summer will be a CST 4.5 lift and a 33 or 34 inch tire on the stock chrome 20s, Flowmaster dual exhaust, matching tint on the front windows and a tuner. Anything after that will be minor little things. Anyhow I thank him so much for everything he's done for me but I would give it all up just to have him back.

Just in case you don't listen to country music, this song is spot on here,

That's a nice truck. 6.2L or 5.3L? Either way, I hope you are able to enjoy that truck for a long, long time.

It's a 5.3, and yes big country fan and that song came on the other day and I cried like a baby driving his truck.

I have the 5.3 in my Sierra, and it moves along just fine. The biggest trailer I tow is under 3,000 lb.

One of the things I like about country music, is how relatable it is. No matter how you are feeling, there's a song for it, to help get you through.

Yeah it won't have any problem towing my 5x8 with the mower. I'm gonna have two trucks for a bit I guess, I just leased my 2018 Hemi Ram in August so I'm gonna have to see about selling that.

ok man... RIGHT. IN. THE. FEELS.

(ironically he's in an F series in the vid)
i never knew that song, not a country guy but i appreciate the message.

Kincer that's pretty neat man. i didn't get my pop's truck. had a chance but i was moving to japan when he offered. i never saw it again.

great looking truck and nice mods you have planned (34's! 33 will look too small with that lift - just remember gear ratios and speedo re-cal)

glad you are feeling better brother.

Thanks! That's why I'm getting the tuner for the speedo, probably go with the 34's.

I feel just a bit better everyday but it will always be there.
