So I added a center support/ splash shield. It should help keep the tank from coming apart and keep the fuel from sloshing around too bad...

So I added a rollover valve. Now the down side to this is the fact all the ones I found were 2 piece jobies. Now with this comes an issue with if the valve should come loose what do you do. Well I came up with this idea. I cut the hole in the top of the tank and fits the lower portion of the valve and will lock it into place keeping it from turning on the inside. I then cut a plate for the top side of the tank and welded it to the top so the valve sandwiches between that plate and seals against it...

The fill for the tank. It has a rubber o-ring that seals it against the tank. I cut a ring that goes on the inside of the tank so I had more meat for the threads I tapped to hold onto.

So I made the drop for the feed/return and then welded it to the tank. After that I air tested it and zero leaks.....

So this is what I came up with. The mounts totally lock the tank and they also serve another purpose....

I am in awe of this extremely detailed thread, your amazing fab skills, and your awesome shop! One of the best threads on this site. I love the Chevy 4.3. Great motor. I find it funny it's powering your "Toyota". Hehe. And those shocks are artwork. Great work! ![]() |

So time for the front shaft. I started by roughing in the pillow block mount and I hugged the tranny as best as I could. If you look closely I built it with a shim to give me some adjustment and the only tight clearance is the starter bolt and thats a thick headed bolt so I can add clearance if need be.

So of course I double checked clearance to mainly the links. I had a pretty small window between the upper/lower links on axle rotation side to side but just enough to make it all work....
