Got together with two other Suzuki Kei owners at the open house for a local imported. The Vans have a higher roof, but they're awesome.

There is a local place that sells theses. Maybe newer ones. They are pretty cool looking. There is one I see all the time that has a massive Pintle hook on the back. I mean big enough to move 747 airplanes. I keep wanting to take a picture of it when I see it and make a meme out of it. Lol

They're sold as off-road/farm use only in a lot of states, especially the newer ones. The WA importers bring in 25 year old ones that can be registered as regular cars

That van with the round headlight grill would be hot looking.

I need to get one of these for taking my xmax and rc boats out to the lake. I like both styles.

You can get the newer vans with round lights

I'm partial to the newer (93ish) fully loaded one with the sunroof and turbo though

Awesome photo! What's the story with the lower one? Is that 2WD and yours is 4WD or is it just lowered? I assume it's an older body style because of the headlights.

The lower one is an 8th gen RWD and is a '90 so its a smaller cab, but got the 660cc motor update from the earlier ones. He's running 14"s with thin tires for the appearance of being lowered. He's fabbing up a metal body kit to make it look lower and accommodate audio gear. He took his bed sides off as well.

Mine is a '93, 4WD and 9th gen. The van is an 8th gen as well. I have a 1-inch suspension lift in the front with 14"s and larger tires that are 1.5-inch bigger in overall diameter.

Another little meet up. The local mom and pop restaurant had a scale '40s Texaco station built to use as a shed.

Where is the forest you're at up-thread from Tacoma? I grew up in PNW - woodsy place.

This thing is so cool. Reminds me of living in the middle east in the 80's, they were all over the place. Suzuki, Daihatsu, Toyota and a few others I cant remember. Thanks for sharing

Convinced my college roommate to join in and get a kei van, a 1990 Subaru Sambar TryXS with the supercharger, 5MT and AWD. Almost have my wife convinced that we need a van .

Love those JDM's. Scary to drive though, feels like it's ready to flip at any moment.
