Let me see if I have this right Grizz.....
#1: '89 Fo Runner
#2: LS7 engine
#3: Art Carr PG trans With massive trans cooler from work
#4: (2) Spidertrak 9's locked
#5: 38" tires
#6: Lead right shoe

I think I like this plan already!!
That turnkey twin turbo model might work too!

Damn it Grizz, I haven't even been out with you yet and this is getting expensive.

If you wanna run up front then that sounds like the right plan. A twin turbo motor would be friggin sweet to see.

Wait till you actually go, you'll be hooked, I guarantee. We had a guy join the club with a TJ on 32's and a 2" Rancho lift. After his first snow run he installed a 5.5" lift, 36" Iroks, front and rear Detroits, and a supercharger on the I6. He paid overnight shipping on the lift components and supercharger so that it would be ready for the next run. That's how addicting it is.

Nice to see the Bronc out finally Grizz. She is sounding sweet. My favorite line was "watch out... Watchout. TREE!!!" My wife says that to me all the time when we snowbashed in the ol' TJ. I'm going to miss it.

Sweet! Nice ride there Griz. Glad I saw this thread, Reminds me of snow bashing through west magnolia and jamestown, it's a wonder I'm still alive after all the times my two buddies and me would go out at 2:00am at night in my Blazer with open diffs.

No back-up, no winch, no chains = Keep the hammer down til you get to the top, or get to that big tree that won't get out of the way.

I have to admit it wasn't quite that deep in the last couple years we ran. Open diffs in the terrain you were in would = get out, make an egloo and wait for help.

Here's a pic from the last time I snow bashed with the Jeep. I drove up to Sparky's during one of last year's snow storms.

I was pretty happy when she told me she wanted to help. I had considered buying an aftermarket seat but since this would be a great project for her I decided to keep the stock one.
I taught her to use the jigsaw so she could make new supports from plywood, then we used the new covers from the kit and rebuilt it. She's a good kid.

It definitely adds to the excitement when they are all scared like that I hope we can get together for some runs when you get back.

Nah, we would have just ate lunch at the beginning of the trail and waited for you to get there.

It's all fun though, no matter if you got open diffs or not. I usually run with the front diff open to save wear and tear on the front axle. Unless I'm in a big drift; I'm usually 3-wheeling it.

Man, doesn't it get cold in there without a rear window? Looks like you were up in Walden with us from all the snow packed in the front end. Anytime you want to go just let me know.

Nah, that was last year before his home-building company slowed down. It takes some deep pockets to run up front, I'm not gonna lie about that. We've all got $20k in the engine compartments alone (well, my big motor is still in the garage ). But with the mild 302, auto tranny, chromo axles, and 40" tires, my Bronc did really well and would keep up; it wouldn't take a ton of money to replicate that. To run in 3rd or 4th place don't take near as much. Problem is you get the itch to run up front eventually.

It gets a little breezy.

I don't think the TJ could hang with you guys in the snow, I'm only running 1.9's.
