| Who the hell wants to be normal? I've been in a bit of a funk over this little turd lately. Any tires I tried to mount up hit the body. Then I remembered the pile of Sand Blasters Two OG soft ones, and two re-re hard ones. Widened the turbine rims and hacked the sidewalls to fit the 1.9 backsides. That did the trick. Then it looked really stupid jacked up all the way, so I cut the front springs and took the rears out. Never seen an XC running droop but I don't think it'll hurt. After all it's an XC; just about anything you do to them is bound to help. The rear looks like the springs are sagging. And the new Creepers found a new home on the 1.9 Scout 800 |

The LeCar..... Man you and my Brothers would get along. My oldest brother loves AMX cars. Has a 71, a couple of the stylin 80 models that would burn the rubber of the tires in about 30 sec. Now he is restoring a Gull Wing unit that used the AMX drive train. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bricklin_SV-1 My other brother had a LeCar, he and a couple freinds were joy riding in it before he got his licence and rolled it into a creek. While my parents were at work.....they fled the scene. Last edited by Racer4Life; 12-23-2008 at 08:37 AM. |

Well It could be worse...... Errr wait no... No it cant, My first car was almost a 81 sx/4 and then my dad found a 88 Subaru 4WD dual range GL-10 (the tricked out Canadian one) for 100 bucks more...... Thankg god. 418,700 miles on it the day I traded it in GOt 50 bucks too! Body was falling off but it still ran like a champ. I miss her. But still I am all about the strange so I say kudos to building a ugly bastard cousin of the jeep. Now all you need is some 1/10 scale beer cans and Nascar stickers placed on the back window and it will be complete! Great work though. Have a peek at my concept Pajero on the CC-01 chassis. http://www.tamiyacrawlers.com/forum/...read.php?t=344 |

| Yes we are! My first car was a '72 Gremlin X...and I still have it. My freezer in the garage is a Kelvinator....by American Motors....it's a disease, I know. The Gremlin is getting a mildly built 304 dropped in it this summer, should be fun! |

Man, there was an Eagle-based AMX for sale parked by the road a while back. I was gonna stop by and look at it today, but it was gone, fender flares and all. :-( Microgoat, your fab work and subject of choice is SICK! Keep at it! One Eagle trumps fifteen Hiluxes and Wranglers! Can't wait for more updates. BTW, Javelin SST390, you da AMC king! My Pacer is getting a scale chassis soon!
