Looks a little low but without a windshield, its really hard to say. BTW, nice fricken work man! I wish I had the patience for something like that. Love the exhaust too. It looks like the exhaust on my 1:1 CJ-5.

not alot done. this body is taking forever to get it the way i want it. made some headlights, gave them that 30yr old dinge look. did some more filling/sanding on the hood/fender area. and raised the height of the cage. i think it looks alot better now |

little update. didnt want to do it but i had to widen the trans tunnel. the transfer case just hung down way to far otherwise. now it will barely be lower than the frame rails once they're built.

just got some good news so i figured ide share it. member caci623 is going to be painting a Willy driver for this build for me for free . very nice for him to do that space on this rig is very limited so i had to shorten the servo mounts quite a bit also had to compact everything to be stashed up under the hood glossed up my old looking headlights to give them a more glass look started to lay some color on the body. typing this while the first coat is drying. the bottom and the interior is going to be flat black and the body will be a gloss white |

started on the frame. not sure how things are going to mount up yet so i'm leaving the cross members out till then. was not looking forward to doing this but it wasn't too bad and i don't think it turned out that bad. |

thats a good idea. right now i'm holding off on cutting out the tailgate cause the body will want to spring out. once i got the cage mounted i can begin on making the tailgate. if you happen to have some reference pics of what your talking about i'll see what i might be able to come up with.

Nice work. Pics of a CJ gate. http://cj7.jeeplabs.com/images/Tailgate/DSC02396.JPG I've debated doing that to the TJ. Would be nice to have a "work table" on it. |
