thanks alot guys. ive kinda taken a break from this due to getting food poisoning then working all this overtime at work. i really haven't had much free time in two weeks. hopefully Willy will be finished soon then i can start on the seats and fully detailing the interior. and i had thought about having a fold down windshield but im not sure. i have alot of ideas bouncing around in my head just no time to do any of it. also my original plans were to keep it simple so i could actually wheel it but now its actually starting to look decent it might be one of those ones i sissy wheel over the rocks. therefore i probably will do alot of fine detailing. all i need is time now | |||

i don't plan on wheeling it too hard but i have dropped it a few times and knocked it off the shelf and nothing has broken. its actually very stout. the cage is strong enough for me to stand on and i'm 180lbs.

had to modify the soft 8's to get the width i was looking for. just found some 1/16 inch nylon washers to space the hub from wheel. so i added an 1/8 inch total width to the axles. also started looking at how i'm going to make the front bumper. this is what ive come up with so far. (just mocked up with scotch tape so its a little saggy) |

I just read all 4 pages... really nice work! Love the tailgate. I think you need to go through it and make sure its stout enough to 'wheel seriously and dont baby it on the rocks. dont take stupid chances but really enjoy driving it. You did nice work. You should be very proud. |

ok guys i need your help on this one. too small or does he look ok? he has to be hiked up really far and he is still barely looking over the dash. i also think he is a little too short. i was hoping his feet would go down under the dash. i think i may have to abort Willy on this :-( |
