I'd imagine it was sold 4 years ago.

Hey "1Tonblazer", ( tried to PM you, but your messages were full) I have been out of the "scaler scene" for a while now, but recently just got back into it. Also just happened to stumble across the above post saying you ended up buying the samurai I had built. Do you still by chance have it ? That's the one I've ALWAYS regretted selling, and was wondering if you'd be interested in selling it back to me ? Please let me know ! Thanks, Chris |

51WillysJeep, Funny that this thread pops up now. I was at USTE a couple of weeks ago where 1BadJeepBruiser had his old Samurai build on hand. We were talking about your build and how cool it was back in the day. I still have an uncut SWP Samurai body and an MRC chassis that never got off the ground. One of these days I'm going to have to build it... |

Yes Indeed, 1tonblazer and I struck up a deal, and the Slickrock Sammy is now BACK in MY Possession !! Its been awhile since I had last seen this rig (atleast 6+ years if not more), and I've got to say it still looks great, like it was hardly ever driven, if even at ALL since it last left me (which is an awesome thing for me !) I'll be making a few small changes and updates to this rig, but this ones definitely a KEEPER for me now for sure !! Last edited by 51WillysJeep; 03-21-2019 at 10:38 AM. |

Besides letting me see such an incredible build... I'm so happy this thread came back - it's made me aware of yet another Samurai body option - the Speedway Pal! |

| Re: 1.5" Project "Slickrock Samurai" Hey Bob, Long time, no talk man !! Yes, I've been mostly playing with the 1:1's the past few years but a few months back I scored a NIB Axial Rubicon and have since gotten back into the scaler scene because of it. I can't believe how much has changed and the amount of awesome scale hardbodys that are available out there now blows me away as well !! I regretted selling the sammy, and was lucky enough to track it down, and thankfully 1tonblazer was willing to sell it back to me ! |

I keep eyeballing some of the old Proffitt's Landcruisers, still some great beasts for rigs. Its really cool though seeing rigs that were built so long ago still being used and lookig the same. Mike's still got the Fun Buggy, I was looking at his pictures and was good seeing the ones with Clampy. I remembered you had the 1:1 Willys and were building a strip/drag car I think. Cant wait to see what you bite onto for the Rubicon, always a great build to follow. | |
