I officially hate RC4WD...They are going to take ALL OF MY MONEY! These are the ticket on this rig, at 1st I was going to spray them black but then I mounted up and I think they are very fitting in the white. I been busy working on this, I got my drive lines all mounted up...check out that Tcase There is an HPI GRU under the hood, the UTE chassis is super easy to work with, I simple cut a section out of the middle of one of the cross braces and bolted it right up. Ill get pics of it soon As you can see I also mounted my Lowslowtj Snorkel and I spent the last couple of work hours fabricating up rear shocks and mounts. Mounts are made from corners of already hacked up tlt chassis and shocks are made from TLT kit tid bits. Shock boots are from Forrest at BruiserBuilder.com Next up on the agenda is to start the interior, stay tuned |

Dude the tube work is off the chain. Agreed, the bed supports are killer too. The wheels make the truck.Shes beggin' for an MSD winch now.

Hey Mike, Can you post up how the 1.55's wheels mount up? Looks like they screw directly to axle? Any chance of a pic with a scale hub or are they too small? Truck looks great. Clint |

They are basically made from left over TLT parts with some Bruiser Builder shock boots Quote:

The wheels bolt to a hub via the 6 screws which also hold the 3pc of the wheel together. The whole assembly then sits on the axle pin, no hex and tightens down with RC4WDs special wheel nut Ill get some pics for you Well since this got bumped back up, might as well share an update. Been working on the dash, I also have the floor roughly made up but I am going to make a new cross member for the Tcase to bolt so it will sit lower. Right now I cant drop the floor nearly as much as I want to, plus, a new cross member will help with the drive shaft angles too. As with every build, I always try to find things to approve on. SebringMGB on scale4x4 built the most scale Hilux dash from SCRATCH that I have ever seen. It had real vents just like the real truck, so I figured I would try to make some more realistic looking ones myself...There not as good as his but they are better then anything I have done in the past well that is it for now, gotta start on the vent for the other side. More updates to follow -Mike | ||||
