Tom,
Can you send me the truck? Everything I build, I build around the actual truck. If you can send me just your chassis I can use my OD XJ body to do it.

New axles are looking good.

I thought only ricers painted the dash body color?

Jason who owns the Atomic Toy painted his dash to match his truck and I did so on my 1/10 Atomic Toy, I liked it so I did this one the same way...It wont look so ricer once the black is painted in.

Well its about time for an update...I was worried that I was taking so long to build this, that the earths natural elements were going to change and start rusting away even plastic Toyota figure I better get a move on...

Installed some tail lights

SOR emblem

lighted gauges, non SR5 so no tach...will have to add an after market one later

If you look close you can see the turn signals

Also got a head light switch

and a ciggy lighter

and the start of the steering column

More later tomorrow...its 2:30 here...I think it might time for bed...

Well you can't ever leave your doors unlocked here in NY, there is bound to be some jerk who will come and steel your radio...At least they were kind enough to unplug the harness and antenna...

Dinky Stock Yota wheel

Column is all finished up and has the key release, hazard switch, head light switch, turn signal lever, and tilt knob

Installed the column

More to follow

Totally insane Mike! Will this one be a runner for the Montauk FJ Cruiser run?

I actually just might be able to pull it off...no guarantee since the SAS starts next weekend but I am doing work right now so I may get it finished!

Dash is IN, next is to figure out how to secure the floor then I can get that ball rolling

Been working on this like its my job, not sure what got me back into but now I am on a mission to finish it for the 1:1 FJ ride out to montauk in 2 weeks... I just ordered my favorite scale crawler ESC, none other then the Tekin FXR, super small with drag brake. Also ordered a matching spare tire and another set of marker lights and lenses for the one front fender.

Onto the pics

Lower heater duct

Floor with trans tunnel

Was trying to figure out a way to make the recaros look less plasticy and more realistic so I upholstered the centers of them

WTF an automatic

Thank god it has a has Buick 231 back by a TH350 and a twin stick

I add the line from the autoshifter to make it look a little bit better...I always make all my trucks a stick, figured I would try something different. Thanks to Axial and their kick ass interior parts its now a lot easier.

Gas and brake pedal

Been thinking about this roll bar, its made from 2 stock roll bars...Any thoughts?

It would need to be trimmed down some

I also bed mounted the high lift using some brackets from the Axial interior kit

and modified some CadToChrome front hubs, next is to modify the RC4WD rears

Thanks for looking

That Axial tree has tons of great things on it.

I love the shifter cable touch. Seeing those little touches you put in your rigs really make them stand out.
