It is going on! Now you can see how it will be.

And the new driver has arrived!

The next thing to do will be the air-intake on the front.

The engine of the pinzgauer is located between the seats. This will be the cover of the engine:

It is painted with this original "RAL7013" like the 1:1 Pinzgauer in the Austrian Army.
The out side is a bit darker, because it is still the plastic primer. I started this paint job inside.

thank you!

A Haflinger in 1:10 scale? It would be only 135mm wide and 285mm long!
It will be hard to find axles of this size. They shoud about 100mm to 110mm wide. The rc4wd micro tires woulf fit. Maybe in combination with wheel widener and Losi Micro Crawler axles?

When I have finished this project, maybe.....

the trex mini is much too wide! (158mm)

the trex MICRO (82mm) is a little too small: http://store.rc4wd.com/118-T-Rex-Mic...xle_p_437.html

Anyway, first I have to finish this car!

And now everything in RAL7013:

I got the .dwg file from a member of the german rockcrawler forum.

I started working on a exocage:

By ale_x_treme at 2011-03-07

Made from 6mm Aluminium tube and rod.

By ale_x_treme at 2011-03-07

By ale_x_treme at 2011-03-07

I not sure if this cage is strong enough. Maybe I will weld or brass a new one out of steel tubes.

And of course, there is allready a short video clip (in 720p):

youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhKjgHAggGk
vimeo:

How can I embed youtube videos, so that the video player is visible in my post?

Time for some details:

At first I wanted to use some small neodym magnets to hold the doors in their closed position. But magnets were too weak, so I deceided to buid real door handels:

By ale_x_treme at 2011-03-26

It is made from 1x2mm Brass, soldered together an spray-painted.

By ale_x_treme at 2011-03-26

Inside:

I am not sure about the color of ther roll cage, so I painted it silver.
