project: Steyr-Daimler-Puch Pinzgauer 6x6 Hi! After I have finished my Losi MRC -Pinzgauer (4x4), I want something bigger. So I started to work on a Pinzgauer 712: http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/1921/p9280015.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-11 Transfer Case: Uses 32p pinions: http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/5...0520101380.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-11 http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/5632/p9280023.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-11 http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/4774/p9280029.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-11 http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/5522/p9280030.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-11 http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/7860/p9280019.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-11 http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/7091/p9280016.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-11 |
 Nice machine work on the tri-output transfer box! What body and bed are you using? Bearings in the 3rd driveshaft pillow block? Does it roll smooth? With extra U-joints, does the rear axles speed pulse at all? Love the walking beam rear susp!! How much travel is allowed? Watching where this goes "thumbsup" |
The body is made out of PS.(Polystyrol) There are no bearings in the 3rd driveshaft pillow block, because it is made from PTFE (Teflon). All shafts are made from 4mm stainless steel. This should provide a smoth and (hopefully) maintenance free running."thumbsup" Yes, there is a problem with the angular velocity of the last axle. I have already orderd a set of MIPs CVD. The travel of the rear Suspension is limited by the bed. Its about 4cm. |
The rollbar is made from brass: http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/3...1020101572.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-23 http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/4...1020101573.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-10-23 |

In 1:1 the front shield can be turned-over. Front bumper made from steel: http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/7216/p1000017e.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-12-31 the winch line fairlead is from a 3racin winch. The winch will be located inside. I am not sure which motor I am going to use. I think the 3racing winch is a little weak. http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/9448/p1000020xg.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-12-31 http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/2707/p1000028ix.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-12-31 http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/7872/p1000031s.jpg By ale_x_treme at 2010-12-31 |

Nice work mate. I love Pinz's. As for the 3r winch, if you run them on 3s lipo they aint too bad... |
