More of a "built" thread than a build thread. I bought the roller off of RCC. The body was painted, whoever did it put some time and effort into it. Really nice job. It had a L Trail chassis and the MRC esc. I've shortened the wheelbase on the chassis, remounted the body, made the servo mount, added the mirrors and wipers. I got the wheels and tires unused off of RCC, but the tires must be old, cause they are pretty hard compared to others I've seen. The MRC esc has the BEC disabled, and a CC BEC added so I can run 3s batteries. Running a RC18 370 motor so it has some pep, but I have burned out one motor so far. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This rig is still running strong. Killed the Futaba 3305 servo pretty quickly. ![]() |

Any news on this rig? Awesome stance, cleanliness, and execution of the classic Samurai look! This thing was one of two I used as inspiration for my own scale project. I'm still trying to find a decent source for the Speedway Pal Sami body, but the rest is coming along. Look for a build thread in thee 1.55 section soon...

Also curios, what's the wheelbase come out to on this little guy? I picked up 3/8" steel square tube that I plan to cut into C channel for rails, but I don't have the body yet.
