Is that a "No" on getting the Cs? or a "No" on someone machining the axles? Yeah these axles are awesome.

Christmas came early when I got home from my 3-11 tour last night and found a package from Peppe/rccrawlerit.

1st off, Peppe is probably one of the best vendors I have dealt with in a long time. He is extremely speedy with his pm's and goes out of his way to solve any and all issues. I had ordered my parts before thanks giving and when they didn't show last week and there was still no update on the tracking I sent Peppe a pm. He told me he would go to FedEx 1st thing monday and see what the issue was. Apparently they dropped the ball and never sent it so he took it to UPS and had it aired mailed to me:nice: which somehow showed up to my house in the same day

Anyways I tore into the package and parts are nothing short of awesome! I even pulled my 1.5 Sammy out of the show case and started installing his leafs.

I was also hooked up with some freebies too

Seats for my j10

Radio set

Pedals

Jeep keys! Got some yota ones too

Not sure what I am using these for yet but I had to have them.

When $$$ permits I'll be ordering a lot more parts

Some more progress

Roll bar lights

Seats

Dash

Team3Six cluster

Key/chain and ignition

heater controls

Steering wheel with horn pad

Radio, glove box with lock

I also ordered some of the things that were on the dash during the movie, such compass

and a 35mm camera from ebay (doll house stuff)

I just glued the side windows once they are dry I am going to start the door panels and floor board

Thanks for looking
Mike

Awesome build! Just watched the movie again the other day. Noticed that the last post in here was back in December. Just curious to know if finished this or if it's just on hold. Would love to see the end result. Very nice build. Hope to see more.

Back burner, my 1:1s and life have seemed to soak up all my RC time lately

Yikes...been over 3 years... well here is where I am at

alright so now that the recap is out of the way...

So it all started like this

and with some glue and uprights we got this

Additional supports

Then it was time to bust out some of the details, unfortunately I have no idea what any of the apparatus do but I'm gonna build them to my best ability

quick test fit... looks good

I started looking at some of the parts and some of them don't have the easiest shape to replicate. This radar type thing particular had a coned shape and details in that just so happened to match a n00b cruiser hub cap... I sent Rich a pic and he voided my warranty... apparently tornado damage isn't covered

Then I made the box things for other side

close up the n00b hub cap...I mean radar thinger jammy mount

video cam corder

so far

Reference pics are hard to find, mostly due to the fact this one ended up upside along with the Jeep J, ironically they saved it and its actually in the "twister museum" but good pics of it are hard to find so some educated winging of it will be a must

I need someone who can print decals to make me this and Dorothy herself to stick on it

Every self respecting Pick-up should have a Dorothy unit! Very creative build, its going to look great along side your other awesome rigs.

You need to make 2500 scale versions of the sensors that get released into the tornado. Otherwise, not scale.

Yeah sorry for the 3 year delay, but I guess that's life right. I've had people try to buy this from me for as much as 1500$... Said no every time. One of my favorite builds, favorite movies, favorite real trucks. It's gonna get finish and it's gonna be badass that's for sure. Hopefully it won't take another 3 years

Only if your gonna chassis tornados, otherwise people might think your making moon shine or meth

Oh that's happening, clear air soft BBs with a little pin vice action with some old Rx wire tails and half painted silver. I dunno about 2500 but ill try for 25

No they, I think were classics. just looked and they don't have them on the site anymore. I guess they are discontinued, probably because they werent bead lock.
