Default !.5 Tire advise NEEDED!

I took a break from scale building to build vintage motorcycles. I am now back in the game and there are many new options with rubber. I love the look of a 1.5 on a scaler. In everyones humble opinion what is a great performing 1.5 tire? I didn't place this in the tire section due to the question being more for scalers! Come on guys let her rip........Opinions.

Oh I am building a mrc pro 1.5 nb TJ.

Id say either the mud thrashers, slingers, stompers with either soft foams or shaved inner sidewall ribbing, and probably the mud hogs due to the softer rubber used. Hope this helps. Of that bunch id have to say the thrashers but the hieght is its only issue.

I took two of my favorite 1.9 tires (FlatIrons and TSLs) and cut them down and love em just as much in small form!!! The TSLs look perfect cut down and perform better than any other ive come across!!!

1.55 RC4WD IROKS. They are a taller tire, but look good on the right truck.

R2J those are the tires I have been leaning toward. How is the performance overall?

They perform very good. And they work even better as they wear. One note though, RC4WD is working on changing most of their most popular tire over to the even better and sticker X2 SS compound. Right now they are working on getting the 1.9 IROKS switched over and I believe a few others as well.

If your looking for a smaller tire then the Iroks then I would have to say Mud Thrashers. I've used them on a couple builds and they hooked up really well on rock and in the sand or hard pack. I would have used them on my comp 1.9 if I had decided to keep it.

I've got a set of 1.5 Stompers I'm going to try just because I really like the way they look, but I'm not sure how well they will do even though they are soft, we'll see.

I had good luck with the Stompers Brian. As said before with the IROKS, they get better the more they get broke in.

They are long discontinued from Pro Line but they can still be found. I have a couple, one NIP for a back up, and one painted that will find it's way into a C3 build with Wraith axles.

Yeah I'm excited to get them out on the rocks, just may be a little time before that build is complete.

I love the looks of the stompers! I wish they would re- lable them as TSL's.
