Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) I think this thing is awesome. I do think the bed is too long though. |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) I though that too,, but it only extends maybe an inch or so from the chassis. But once i put the sides on it( more info on that tomorrow) it doesnt look too bad, worse comes to worse, ill cut it and shorten it a bit. |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Took a few pictures with the wood planks and sides on. the styrene "cap" hasnt been put on yet, so disregard the uneven planks. What do you guys think about the length of the bed? is it good, or do you think i should shorten it a bit? With the sides on, http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...heflatbed6.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...heflatbed5.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...heflatbed4.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...heflatbed3.jpg With the sides removed, http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...heflatbed2.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...cheflatbed.jpg |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Awesome build man! I like the looks of the bed better with the sides for sure! Nice job"thumbsup" |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Thank you "thumbsup" I'm liking your micro m715! my mirrors and wipers arrived today, just need to find a way to mount them, any ideas? |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) I still say the bed needs to come in a bit. But the side panels help a lot. |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) i think it look good right where it is!......ok maybe a little:flipoff::lmao: |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) I think im just going to leave it to shorten it just a 1/2", i basically need to redo everything. On another note, got my mirros installed, wipers installed, re-painted the body, and made mud flaps. pictures tonight "thumbsup" |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Oh. Yeah screw that mess then! :ror: |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Heres a few pics of the " finished" body., but they're never REALLY finished Lol. wipers installed, mirros installed, re-painted, should i paint the headlight lenses silver too? http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...nishedbody.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...ishedbody3.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...ishedbody2.jpg |

Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Thank you "thumbsup", pics of the mud flaps tomorrow, just need to paint them. |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Looking great! My vote is to shorten the bed a bit, but I do dig the side boards. BTW, your drivers side wiper is pointing the wrong way, not to nit pick or anything. I have to admit I'm a bit jealous, I really dig this willys! |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) You know, i looked all over google for pictures of the wipers, but didnt find anything, so i just went with what looked right, but they're just set in with pins, so i can easily just take it out and put it the right way, thanks for telling me! "thumbsup" |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Made a set of mud flaps, recycled an old used bike tire tube, some brass, and walla Lol. http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...08/mudflap.jpg they are flexible, and bounce around when the truck flexes and drives arounf( well, pushed around Lol) http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...8/mudflaps.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...8/mudflap3.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...8/mudflap2.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...8/mudflap1.jpg Also, my pintle hook arrived today, got it installed on the flatbed, everything is painted, just waiting for everything to dry, then ill re-assemble it and take a few pictures. |
Re: 55' willys pickup ( body built by pardonmyn00b) Brother has the camera, so these crappy cell phone pics are all i have right now, ill take better ones outside tomorrow. the bed is mostly finished, just needs some final touch ups. but for the most part, the body and bed are done. now i can start working on the running gear and finally make this thing a runner. http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...edflatbed6.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...edflatbed5.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...edflatbed4.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...edflatbed3.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...edflatbed2.jpg http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/q...tedflatbed.jpg |
