I think this thing is awesome. I do think the bed is too long though.

I though that too,, but it only extends maybe an inch or so from the chassis. But once i put the sides on it( more info on that tomorrow) it doesnt look too bad, worse comes to worse, ill cut it and shorten it a bit.

Took a few pictures with the wood planks and sides on. the styrene "cap" hasnt been put on yet, so disregard the uneven planks. What do you guys think about the length of the bed? is it good, or do you think i should shorten it a bit?

With the sides on,

With the sides removed,

I still say the bed needs to come in a bit. But the side panels help a lot.

I think im just going to leave it to shorten it just a 1/2", i basically need to redo everything.

On another note, got my mirros installed, wipers installed, re-painted the body, and made mud flaps. pictures tonight

Looking great! My vote is to shorten the bed a bit, but I do dig the side boards. BTW, your drivers side wiper is pointing the wrong way, not to nit pick or anything. I have to admit I'm a bit jealous, I really dig this willys!

You know, i looked all over google for pictures of the wipers, but didnt find anything, so i just went with what looked right, but they're just set in with pins, so i can easily just take it out and put it the right way, thanks for telling me!

Made a set of mud flaps, recycled an old used bike tire tube, some brass, and walla Lol.

they are flexible, and bounce around when the truck flexes and drives arounf( well, pushed around Lol)

Also, my pintle hook arrived today, got it installed on the flatbed, everything is painted, just waiting for everything to dry, then ill re-assemble it and take a few pictures.

Brother has the camera, so these crappy cell phone pics are all i have right now, ill take better ones outside tomorrow. the bed is mostly finished, just needs some final touch ups. but for the most part, the body and bed are done. now i can start working on the running gear and finally make this thing a runner.

Okay, here are better pictures as promised, just realised I still need to paint the brass on the removable sides, I'll do that later Lol. Also I havent permanently secured the wipers yet, which is why they're hanging off Lol.

The sun was at a bad angle so the flatbed looks like its the gates of heaven.

And here are a few pics after i messed with the colors/contrast,

I like this one,
