Default - Project: FJ40 -

I think it's time for my SCX10 trail rig to get a new shell. I was originally aiming for the Tamiya Toyota Hilux hard body, but since the recently released RC4WD TF2, there are tons of Hilux out there. So I went with a different route, Tamiya Toyota FJ40 lexan body.

Due to the fact that the FJ40 body is a very narrow and have a short wheelbase, so I decided to chop it up and stretch the body, yet I'll still be able to keep the stock Honcho wheelbase.

To be continued...

Cool.. Are you going to get another body to fill the gap or do you have something else in mind?

It will stay 2 doors, with an extended shell.

I was planning to go that route, but it will be way too expensive, so I'll finish up the rest of the body works with styrene sheets.

Update: Extended the body about 53mm with styrene sheets, then fill up the gaps with putty, still need to smooth it out. Body also have been reinforced.
