Another update~ less flash better pic~ with the unpainted body starting to cut the tricky hood out~ dont let the exacto slip! tada! sweet~ decided to switch gears and work on the headers~ just some freehand stuff after looking at some header flanges online- I bolted both pieces together so I could keep everything square and they hold the pipes in place for soldering. after a bit of grinding to shape~ time to clean em up a bit- add some tubing~ dang is that cool or what??? bolted together for soldering- it looks like crap, I promise I will clean it up! anyhoo thats my update for now! ENJOY! L.R. |

| Re: 1:10 Scale Bronco Build tell me about the wen mac mustang? are they a plastic kit? ebay? I am guessing they are a fastback? (its tough to find a coupe! lol) I really reeally reeallllly want to use the rc18r on my build as it is such a cool freaking car! but I also understand I need to use what will "fit" the build the best. if you have any ideas you should keep in touch, we can bounch things around a bit. I would still like to use a solid axle rearend if at all possible~ the t-rex 1/18 scale micro comes to mind- but with the rc18r being such a good handling chassis I dont know if I would mess with it (unless they came out with a micro yota rear end (its close enough to a 9'" for me!) L.R. edit- found them- perfect! better be on your A game cause I am about to "ORDER UP". Last edited by LoneRanger; 01-09-2013 at 08:36 PM. |

| Re: 1:10 Scale Bronco Build That looks just like the real thing!! Great job on the engine too... Can't wait to see it finished... What about making yourself a styrene body instead of using the lexan one?? I think this rig really deserves it!! |

This is the first time I have EVER used styrene, and absolutely have NO desire to attempt a bronco body from scratch! No Way Jose! L.R. |

Working on it today, supposed to be doing a 50 mile MTB ride but am sitting in the parking lot instead! Haha Edit: due to a leg injury a week ago- I reread this post and thought "wow I am not that rc hardcore!". Last edited by LoneRanger; 01-13-2013 at 07:34 AM. |

some more updates~ trying to mess with bending some headers- more on that later. moble work shop while at the bike ride, working on making my second bumper. solder drops with flux makes for nice clean joints. progress~ my mobile workshop! more bumper fab~ my "original sized motor was Way to big, so I down sized it to 90% of original- this is why you make things out of paper parts. I got smart and took my manilla envelopes and fed that straight through the printer to make it easier to assemble- (cut and tape, versus cut, trace, cut, tape) old on the left new on the right- some 1:1 pics from the show- oh yeah, and we won! (out of 1,200 fords (an ALL Ford show) and its not that we just won a class or whatever we won HUGE- how about "BEST FORD" at a massive FORD ONLY SHOW? I am still not believing it! LOL Back to minime- working on headers- I loosely based them off of this pic~ my version~! keep in mind the left side isnt cut to size yet so they look really long! making the "real" motor out of styrene- results: and a new project~ 90% of all parts are inbound currently. 66' coupe to match my wifes car! Its hinged with duct tape and a paper clip~ I am going to use hinges like they use on RC jets for the retract gear door openings. L.R. |

I think the correct name is an offset gear door hinge. L.R. |
