updates tonight/ tomorrow- got some new tires from Maddog Maddigan on here- MTZ's- definitely the look I was going after! and worked on making a scale shackle for about 2 hours. I have one done but may try a different rendition tomorrow- waiting on pics to upload now. I also made a leaf spring eye jig- will also post pics on that tomorrow if it works well! I will leave out all pics from my nine day hiatus to the Keys- I know you guys and gals don't want to see pics of fish, lobsters, boats, and sunsets! (and maaaaybe a few rum drinks) L.R. |

^ love your avatar- I have one of my old Ranger flopped on its side similar to that! lol updates~ as promised shackle pics- in progress and finished shots. as I have mentioned I dont have a vice, just a pair of channel locks- finished and in progress! fabbed up some leaf springs from a 5.5 honda rewind spring- if ANYONE has any tips on how to do these dang things PLEASE let me know or direct me to a thread that can explain how to do this more uniformly/ easier. they were a PITA and they still aren't to my liking. getting the motor mount figured out- ok, I have about 3.5cm here. Is this enough room for a short stubby ass drive shaft to connect the motor to the t-case? I have seen some REEEEEALY short shafts on here but I'm not sure? < that was funny right there! motor is in- not rocket science here, grab the suckers and bend them to the right angle with pliers! thanks! thanks, i was just a little to wide to try and squeeze between the two tree's. the motor to t-case should be fine, i had the same problem. i moded a junifac shaft its around inch an 1/4, 3/8 from set screw to set screw. Last edited by joeyf; 08-21-2012 at 09:27 PM. | |

here is a pic before i put the heat shrink on it. cut it down to the length i needed. did my best to make sure it was all square and then tack welded it up. cant get much shorter than this. there is a 1/8 (max) more that can be taken out. |

I really can't wait to see how this turns out. That blue is a great choice. Not sure if you posted or not, but did you have success ordering the rear K44 from the international website? |

I am still looking for other leaf spring solutions, and interior build help. I have started hacking on one of my tamiya bodies allready in hopes of making it an "uncut". LUBERS beware! L.R. |

| Re: 1:10 Scale Bronco Build haha, how about "where to start?" I did find a floor pan pic (several actualy) but one in particular that shows the bolt hole location for the front seats and the rear bench- I think I can scale this to 1:10 and have an accurate size and shape layout then I just have to raise/ lower the sections up front as needed. I want to get a base floor pan/ firewall in before I figure out what I am gonna do with the steering up front. L.R. |
