sweet looking rig i have this body too but on my ax10 and im glad you built an interior cage for it because its piss thin.. i suggest putting some tube around the fenders and stuff because mine rubbed on the shocks and i've had to cut some out as i go haha..

not to hi jack your thread but here's what happens when you beat on them for barely a year, i've just about ripped the stock bed right off but with a little shoe goo it should be good to go again!!

yeah, I plan to eventually have tube work outlining the fenders...

I got my wheels back from Axialjeepster, he forgot to include them with the rig last week.

I swapped out the MTZ's for Mud Thrashers... give me a little more height.

I'm home sick so I mounted the bed today.

I want to move the axle forward on the springs.
I was looking into moving the springs forward but would have to cut my mounts to fit over the DDK.

But then it dawned on me... I just need a new axle mount!

I made a temp mount.
My buddy Die-Laughing is going to give me a hand making a permanent solution.

So now the axle is where I want it. It fit's in the wheel well much better.

sick day... uh huh.

i would advise you stock up on replacement bodies while they are still available. it sucks to have a rig that needs a fresh lid and theyve stopped making them...

Yeah I do... I don't think the bodies are going to last long. They are really thin lexon.
I have one untouched. I'll pick up a few more when I get my income tax check.

I've been racking my brain trying to decide on what color/style to paint it.

1. Clean and restored
2. rusty and crusty
3. like my grandpa's 36'

But now I'm thinking maybe just primer the whole thing.

I picked up 2 more bodies today.
I have a set of High Steer knuckles on the way and need a set of CHubs... then she'll be drivable.

I did go a for a few test spins but I was running borrowed parts from my C2, Buxom Melons... and Melons needs to get ready for a TTC in less than 2 weeks.

I know it takes the look away but if you want to keep springs, you need to put some anty wrap links in there.

So, after talking with my leaf spring advisor... he doesn't think the 2 links will actually prevent axle wrap... I'll need a double ended link on a shackle.

I agree with your advisor. The links in your pic are only there to keep the torque tube square with the axle. Something like in your second pic is what you need.

BTW, looks way better with the Mud Thrashers on it.

Th 34' competed for the first time!

It did extremely well on the one course I ran... I hadn't planed on running it so it was not waterproof yet. In fact, the electronics were just sitting in an open project box.

The course it did run consisted of a very steep and long downhill, some sidehilling and a muddy hill climb with a few river rocks thrown in between.

It handled the downhill better than most of the 1.9's including my own Buxom Melons.
