I picked up some orange pin stripe... this way if I don't like it, I can remove it.
My chrome trim didn't turn out as good as I would have liked... I may use black pin stripe on the outside to help clean it up.

Thanks!

I added Ford ovals and testing placement of the V8 symbol, air horns and air filter... I may not use the air filter unless I can counter sink it.

The horns work but yes. Air filter would be better if only like 1/4 of it stuck through the hood

It looks great Johnny . The orange and black works for it IMO. On the air filter, my opinion is to leave it off. I think it's to much. Maybe some big ass exhaust stacks would help with the look?

got the rear panel installed and mocking up the rear fenders.
The fenders will ultimately be aluminum... but just in case I can't get the fab work done in time for the RC4WD comp in August, they will be legal like this.

I just hope they make it through the comp!

I was looking this rig over this morning before work... I really like it!
I can't wait to get the roll bar, fenders and bumpers done.

The truck looks awesome!! Love the rims!

I do have a question on the dually rims...
Who's are they? Rc4wd's?
How did you get the hex on the front wheel? Can you bolt the inner rear dually hex to the front wheel? Or are you simply running the inner rear dually rim as your front?

Would love to know if the bolt patterns line up between the front and rear rims enabling you to bolt the hex directly to the front rim?

Thanks
Ryan

I found them on ebay, gtdcnc I think... last I looked, he was out.
The front wheel is made to free roll so I had to buy an extra set of rears just for the hubs.
The hubs bolt on to the front without any trouble... the front wheels are the same as rear, just flipped.

I like the rear fenders Johnny. Any way to extend them so they meet the running boards? Eitehr way it's looking mean as hell bro. Can't wait to see Hera, Melons and the '34 next month!

Just a few weeks away, it'll be here before we know it!

So my plan was an interior with the electronics in a box on the bed...
I may just build a 2d interior for the time being.

In the 3rd pic, I just placed a plate where the 2d interior would go.

Looking good man. How about one of those HPI interiors with the race driver? One of those would be simple to mount.

Took the Ford for a good rum today. Overall I'm happy with it's performance.
I would really like to have more ground clearance but love the look of these short tires.

It's got insane power and speed for a Class 1 on springs... 14t Puller on 6s with a 20t pinion!

With the dually setup and serious wheel speed, I was able to make lines that I couldn't have w/o...

So the next thing is to rebuild the axles.

Yesterday I picked up some GripFab Spools for both axles and I already have an OverDrive gear for the front and Beef Tubes.

I'm a little worried about the extra weight of the Beef Tubes on the springs but I'll give it a shot.
