Got my lights from Al (Heyok) and I just finished building them. Now it's a matter of fitting the LEDs to the body and mounting them. Some bulbs are a little long so I may sand them down to fit the body better. It may also help out with the light dispersion.

Left pic is what will show as the Jeep is still. Right pic is when using reverse. Love it and can't wait to have it all mounted up! There's light at the end of the tunnel!!

It was rather time consuming, but I'm really pleased with the outcome. I've got some tweaks to do to the lighting (front marker lights are too bright), but I'm digging this setup from Al (Heyok).

By the way, anyone else notice bent axles on a Yota II axle before? The front is fine, but the rear axles have a definitely "wonkiness" to them.

No worries, man! I appreciate the offer, though. The headlights are definitely "dots" behind the lenses, but I'm okay with that. I have some headlight buckets I can try out if I feel adventurous. At this point, it's ready to go so I'm wanting to get it on the rocks!

You're not available for a quick crawl on Saturday, are ya?

Cory, PM/text if you want to do a little trail run tomorrow.

I'll also get a pic of the LED control unit. Planning on making a video showing lots of details, but haven't had time for it yet.

In preparation for the Jeep's debut (again?) I decided to do a few things. First I added some inner fenders up front to hide all of the electronics. It's just some Lexan that I painted black and applied some flat clear over.

And a few accessories...

I also changed out the rear springs to something stiffer. It had a bit of a tail dragger look and that's not what I was after. This is better...

So yesterday Cory (Stang Killa SS) and I met up for a trail run at one of our favorite places. We both took pics, but unfortunately mine came out really washed out so I'll mostly be sharing the ones Cory took. Thank, Cory! Had a blast!

Chocolate Love and Simple Green had great time!

And yes, the Corrosion X worked like a charm! It was *very* tested for waterproofing...much moreso than what you see here.

Overall, the Jeep did pretty well. It also took some gnarly falls and suffered some scratches, but no mechanical failures and it crawled nicely. I may need to install some new brushes into the Tekin 35t motor, though. It started cogging a bit near the end of the day....even before it was submerged.

This one favorite spots too. How did the tires work ? Glad to hear that the Corrosion X worked.

They worked well, but I'm not sure they're any better than the M/T Claws that Cory was running. I think the rigs were fairly similar in capability.

I like it much better with shorter tires... Undecided on the wheels, though.

Rc4wd pro 10's. They would look the part of what you see of most jeep's going down the road. Or Just stick with what you got.

I would, but they're only available in 1.9s and I definitely want 1.5s on this one.

What about something in the middle, like RC4WD's 1.7 Mickey Thompsons? Or they offer 1.7 stamped wheels. Then you could stretch 1.55 tires over them or run 1.7 Baja Claw TTCs. Just a thought. The Jeep looks awesome all finished up!

I like those and they'd match the wheels on my 1:1, but they're pricey. Moreso than that, however, I really think smaller 1.5's fit this rig better. 1.7 isn't that much bigger, but you know how it goes with these trucks.....every little bit helps.
