I'm in awe over this, literally. I'm fighting a new bright body making it in to a brute with honcho flat bed inside the uni body. ( my first attempt at customizing) I'm just impressed of how it's turning out looks killer. Looks like I'll be searching the forum fort styrene tip trucks and how's for's Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2 |

Well after much time off I decided to wipe the dust off and give it a go again, we will see how far i get before i take a break again. Before I do anymore work on the body I needed to get the chassis sorted out, so here we go. just some random pics of links, mounts, ect... I'm on call for work this weekend so i may have time to get more done, being stuck at home waiting for the phone to ring Cheers for now |

What's a special word for a 'styrene artist?' Whatever it is, you're a great one!!!! We've got two classics and when I saw the grille, I was glad you're doing an early model rangie, ours are '72 and '74 Nice rig |

Didn't get much done this weekend but, did get the body and transmission mounted. I may add another set of body mounts and may need to trim the fender arches a bit, but it's starting to take shape. The only thing that is going to hold me back is the transfer case as I plan to build my it to fit my needs and that will require the use of a lathe that I don't have. |

Been really busy at work, may have something to do with being a HVAC service tech. and temps are mid 30's F so just a small update, got the front inner fenders started mostly done Cheers Last edited by 00racer; 12-01-2013 at 12:21 AM. |

| Re: Rangie Thanks, mine were a pita too, they are several pieces all glued together and sanded down, the pics make them look good but in person they are not so great. also I'm pretty sure they are not even close to scale I just made them to fit.

Been working on the roof and the interior, got some structure to the pillars and made some templates for the windows, still deciding if I'm going to to make the rear side windows slide open. Did a small mock up of the interior still needs a lot of fitting and sanding but it gives me some motivation to keep going. I know there is a slight curve to the top of the rear hatch but i couldn't make it look right so I went with no curve Enjoy and Cheers Last edited by 00racer; 12-05-2013 at 10:48 PM. |

Started the working steering wheel tonight, it took a lot longer than expected do to the steering servo and the wheel servo worked opposite each other. To do it on the cheap i had to pull apart the wheel servo and reverse the motor and pot wires inside. I still have to work out a way of connecting the column to the servo, right now it is just press fit and may work, but would like it if it was positively attached. On to the pics Cheers | |
