Gave up on the power windows for now but I did make them slide open manually, blue coating is the protective film and tape to keep them clean till I run it the first time.

Rear hatch struts

just a slight bend in the rod binds it just enough to hold open the hatch

Metal rear bumper, still needs a bit of filing and some paint but should do the job.

Didn't get much done this weekend, motivation is fading again. I'm having a hard time coming up with a way to make the roof removable but still fit tight so that it looks right and isn't all floppy

I still need to finish the ends and install the drip rail but I did get the skin on it

Well the magnets were to big to fit in the space I had so screws it is

The rear fits in a groove but i will fit some screws in it just for security, the front uses two metal tabs that pinch the leading edge down

I use this to remove them through the windows that open

Few little things done today, sun visors to help hide the roof mounting tabs, and finished filling the ends on the roof just needs a few spots of filler and sand it down.

Thanks, after much deliberation I decided to run with the red, it's not quite right but close enough.

I got a lot done this weekend but most of it is not note worthy, tabs for mounting trim and stuff like that.

Few little bits that are not exactly 1:1 but got them off the to do list.

Gear selector

slapped some color on it

then the functioning steering wheel mounted.

Cheers for now

It is fairly strong, I plan to use it as a trail runner and mild rocks, it has smarties for tires so it wont be very capable but time will tell, it may fall apart the first run.

Got the first coat of paint on and i couldn't wait to see what is was going to look like. Kind of a pointless post but at least i can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
