Well I started doing all the details and sorting out the wiring and realized that stuffing 10lbs of crap in a 5lb bag wasn't going to work. My solution was to put all the electronics in the back but needed a better way to access/hide them, then it came to me whats a Range Rover without a drinks cabinet. I broke out the cutting thread and made the rear gate open, besides you have to have a place to sit while consuming your drinks.

Today I didn't feel like working on the body and I was never happy with the rear suspension. It was very soft and kinda tipsy so I spent a few minutes redoing the spring location. Plus it looks more scale this way in my opinion.

I added the stock spring cups as retainers

The rear gate latch I'm not totally pleased with but with the space I had to work with it will have to do. Still needs some detail and paint but it does the job.

Love this build...things you are not happy with...I would be thrilled with...if I had your talent or patience. Awesome.

With a lack of funds I haven't done much. I did get the lights wired up the chassis painted and took a poser shot.

Thanks, it's not that I'm not happy with it just that I had a vision when I started and I think my vision is a bit blurry and out of my talent range. There are a lot of things I would have done differently knowing then what I know now. This is my first complete custom build and has been a source of a lot of joy and heartache or I should say headache but I have learned a ton and looking forward to breaking trail when it's done. I think it will be awhile before I start another. The talent and patience came with just jumping in, trial and a lot of error, (lol) give it a go you never know till ya try.

Thanks again
Cheers

Might I suggest a common Rangie modification as tribute?

just a small update I got the front bumper roughed in, it will have a winch mounted to it with a roller fair lead. Still need to sandblast and paint it, just a few more bits to add and I can call this one done.

Well it's almost finished, just need a working winch, a few more scale bits, do a proper video/photo shoot, and she will be done. I have never finished a build like this before I usually give up or sell before it's done. It may not be perfect but I love it and I kinda have a warm feeling inside seeing it done......wait I think it's just indigestion, anywho here are a few bits that I did up and would like to share before the final showing.... enjoy!
