Home on the Range Rover (new title same build) I've always wanted to build a Range Rover and had some time to kill today. So I started sketching out the body next thing I knew I was cuttin and gluin and thought I better start a thread before I got to far along. I don't know how fast this build will be (I'm not known for my speedy builds;-)) since all I have is the tires and some styrene. Oh well on to the specs and pics Body: hand built 70's Range Rover Chassis: ? Axles: MRC I think Tranny: ? Wheels: 1.55 steelies Tires: MT Baja MTZ's This is the body style I'm shooting for http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w..._pic_74097.jpg This is what I have done so far http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...0273192797.jpg http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...0273223712.jpg http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...0246815125.jpg I didnt expect to get this far today. Not having the rest of the parts kinda makes it hard to get excited about going to far. On the up side my B-day is next month maybe I can talk the wife into an early present.:mrgreen::mrgreen: |

I started the seats this weekend, they are almost done just a bit of filling, sanding and paint started by building a frame http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...1387322118.jpg then boxing them in http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...1387264387.jpg then laminate the details on http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...1387228723.jpg then do it two more times http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...1484277526.jpg http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...1484248698.jpg http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...1484221297.jpg http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...1484771569.jpg just sitting them in for mock up http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...1484541259.jpg |
Re: Rangie That looks awsome. Any ideas what colour you are going with? there were some sweet two tones on those models ;-) Petrol filler turned out a treat "thumbsup" |
