Default MRC TJ Build

Alright so after screwing around with trying to change the name I just decided to delete the old thread and start fresh. Here's a link to the old thread for those interested.
Fj build

The plan is to build a NewBright TJ using a custom frame and mrc axles. It's inspiration comes a lot from a few builds on the forum as well as my Buddy Todd's 1:1 Wrangler.
This is what I'm trying to copy

Your black tj you built a whole back was a huge inspiration for this.

Anyone know where I can find some 1/2" long wheel hexes. The losi axles are just a hair too narrow.

Changed my plan, going to run this as a class two rig in my local club. So I decided to go with the ax10 axles. Ordered a scx10 chassi and cut it down to fit the body. Got the body trimmed down for my hiline fenders and rear corners. Still need to shorten the rear links a bit more I want o try and keep from comp cutting the back. Front 3 link with panhard and rear 4 link I think should work good. Hoping to get started on my fenders this week.

Made some small progress tonight. Got my rear links somewhat finalized and got 3 of my front links figured out, I just need to come up with a panhard bar for the front and my suspension will be done minus the shocks. Final wheelbase is 10 3/4"

Yes Sir, I borrowed your motor mount it's just to simple and works great! The fenders are very close to the same. I do have one question, how did you mount the rear shocks?

You either have to cut out the floor board or use some rc4wd 80mm. I used TLT axles though so i mounted the 80's in the back of the axle and sort of layed them down a bit. with the axials you will just have to mount them on the front of the axle and be creative. Just make something for the interior to cover them up.

I thinking can mount them like this /\ on the back of the axle with a couple simple brackets. I'll have to look.

that would be good too but in my past experience, mounting them like that produced torque twist. Try it out though.

Would a sway bar eliminate the torque twist?

Has anyone ran the Gear Head shock relocation kit? Wondering of there is any torque twist with that setup. Im thinking in order to keep my interior uncut that's the way I'm going to have to mount my rear shocks. But If I get to much torque twist it won't work. Unless a sway bar will eliminate the TT then I'll just add one of those. Any input would be great.

Got the rear fenders finished, waiting on my mounting hardware to show up so I can drill mounting holes. Also my rear gear head 4 link truss showed up. Waiting on tires and shocks and front 3 link/panhard mount. It's starting to come together.
