Got a good deal on some RC4WD dual spring shocks. I love how these shocks look. Much more scale than the fat stock scx10 shocks. I thought the stockers were around 90mm, and I've limited them at least 10mm, so I figured the 80mm shocks would be perfect. Well turns out they are about 10mm too short, so now I'm on the hunt for some 90's.

Did a little camping/wheeling in Moab today. Didn't get many pics, but got some GoPro footage. I'll post it up here as soon as I've thinned through it

Sorry about the video trouble. YouTube said they didn't have permission to give me the right to use that song. But Photobucket didn't seem to care. Photobucket isn't HD, but at least it works now

Looking great man, love the FJ! If I ever get my hands on another FJ body I am definately going to build it like that with the class 1 look. Maybe even start with a CC01 base to have the IFS.

I love how clean, shiny and unscratched your body is too! I love abusing mine, but I loved how it looked before getting all scratched! Are you planning on making an interior for that thing? What about the mirrors. Did you just not install them, or don't have them?

Thanks man! Your FJ was partly the inspiration for mine. Heinie_21 has built new bright FJ cruisers on the cc01 and they are perfect size for that. Nikko FJ is much bigger. I also love the clean shiny body, and I plan on keeping this one that way. I have my other class 2 truck to beat up on if I want. I do want to do an interior. Have you done one? Know of a good interior for this Nikko body? I bought it used without the mirrors, then the kid I bought if from found them and is supposed to be mailing them to me. Otherwise I have had a "want ad" up and looking for other mirrors that would look good with it.

i bet the newbright JK interior would work with some tweaks. what you need though is clear windows, which isn't easy. find someone who can vacuum form lexan over your tinted windows haha. The jK interior would be heavy though for an already top-heavy-ish rig. maybe wraith interior? dingo interior?

I haven't done an interior yet, my styrene skills suck and that dash scares the hell out of me. haha I need to start with some basic stuff first to get the hang of it. And now that you mention it I do remember seeing your want add...I am wanting some more too since I lost my drivers mirror a while back.

I was thinking of some 0.060 clear lexan and shoo goo for the clear windows, but until I decide to dive into the interior thats all the further I have gone into it. Maybe this winter...or next.

I do have a NB Jeep stashed away upstairs and I did consider pulling the interior just to see but like you said the body is already so top heavy and I am finally getting happy with the performance of this thing I'd hate to take yet another step backwards.

I looked at putting my dinky RC honcho interior in the FJ too though, and besides it being too wide (easily modified) it just doesn't look close enough to the real thing to go through the hassle, at least to me. Always another option though.

EDIT: Searching around a bit after posting this I stumbled on this. click here Might not be too bad of a starting point, if you are looking to do an interior.

A cheap way to make your windows and once cut up usually works ok is the plastic from a soft drink bottle or juice bottle. Is easy to get and just cut squares out for windows and shoe goo or silicon in place.

Thats a legit interior. I'll have to measuer the FJ when I get home to get some ideas. Otherwise I might just cover the windows from the inside so they are completely blacked out. They are just transparent enough that in some shots of my video it is pretty obvious that nothing is in there.
