Looks great! It crawls nice and realistic too. I had forgotten about Jurassic 5, I loved those guys. Now I gotta go look up some more of their stuff again.

Build progress is going to slow on this rig for a few days. I'm giving in to the peer pressure and am going to do an interior. I've been looking at the locked-up RC interior and think that with a little trimming it can work really well with the nikko fj body. But with that nice of an interior, I don't want a huge hole in the middle for the motor and tranny. This led to searching out the GCM Mount for SCX Front motor/trans and T-Case which will move the motor/tranny up under the hood and give me room for the interior. It also gives me a CMS. Problem is its coming from Canada, so it will take a few days. But will be totally worth it! On a side note, we finally emptied another tub of butter, so I'll be able to do my rear wheel wells too | |

I am already subscribed to this thread, but I'm double subscribed to see how this interior works out. Good luck man. |

Nice Steele. May the "hat fires" begin...you know...smoke coming from the ears. Doing the interior in my JK made me think about tinted windows. They are frustrating, but sooo worth it when completed. Good luck man |

| Re: EL GUAPO The Handsome FJ Cruiser Still waiting for parts, but I figured I'd show you guys what I'm waiting for. GCM motor/tranny relocating plate, t-case, and CMS. These guys from Canada know what they're doing! Locked-up RC interior. A little long for FJ, but should be easy to modify to fit. Locked-up RC replacement wheel nut/hub. For some reason with my Trex 60 axles, once I've put the nut on to hold the wheel to the axle there's no more threads on the end of the axle shaft to put the plastic axial hub, or anything. Saw locked-up had some hubs that ARE the nuts. How handy! I will paint them up for the details. It might be annoying to have a special tool to get them on and off, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for scale details. Also picked me out a driver. After all this work, if I decide the windows are too dark, I might have to roll the driver window down or something. I'd be more willing to do that if I had a spare window set in case I don't like it. Anyone have or know someone with a spare nikko fj window set? Or a beat up nikko fj body for sale so I can use the windows out of it |

| Re: EL GUAPO The Handsome FJ Cruiser And a little SAS'd FJ 1:1 inspiration while I wait.... These pictures make me realize how accurate the Nikko FJ really is. Haven't been around many 1:1 FJ Cruisers, so I look at these and think "Wow, those really look like my 1:10 FJ! Those 1:1's are very accurate!" |

You're really raising the bar for the rest of us FJ guys out there...I hope you know that! I am very interested in the weight of that interior, would you be able to weigh it once you get it in? And those pics of the 1:1 are all great FJs. I've only ever seen one straight axled FJ in person and man was it cool. I really wish I'd had mine there for a shot but unfortunately I hadn't built it yet. |

interesting that this person decided to ditch the stock linked rear setup and go leaf sprung. not that there's anything wrong with leaf sprung 1:1's, it was just probably a lot of extra work haha. |
