really glad this has some scale yota axles under it. Should it have leafs all around or just in the rear? that needs to be done to keep it truly "scale". (IMO)

All of the FJ's I've seen have had leafs front and rear - but I'm not a Toyota guy at all so I could be wronge.

You are correct.

FJs of that vintage had leaf springs all round.

I have leaf sprung my FJ45 Troop Carrier and it is awesome to wheel, and still goes the same places my coil sprung rigs do.

Do it, you won't regret it.

Cheers

The newer model cruisers had coils. The 1990 and up I know for sure and a lot of the mid 90s models came with electric lockers front and rear. Even had high pinions from the factory.

The truck looks sweet! I need to buy up some styrene and try my hand at some custom body work but I feel like it wouldn't turnout like I want.

She's coming home! Highmark was gracious enough to sell her back to me. This was one rig I regretted selling, but she will be back in my hands soon, where she can feel the Florida sunshine

Been messing with it in my spare time, there really isn't much to do besides little details here and there. I sleeved the links, ( still need to be painted ) and I added 4-40 acorn nut stubs to the wheels, just tapped the holes for 4-40 and threaded them in.

Now I just need Hubs!
