Okay, I need some input. I got the body...... Way too small. Axles are way too wide. Body is too small. I'm not sure what route to go.

One idea I'm toying with is to cut the body, use the front clip, rear clip and make some type of "rock buggy".

I don't know. Any input is appreciated.

Ya, me too. If it were 1:1 it would be almost 20ft long. I think as it sits it would look stupid.

I don't want to go MRC. I leaning towards hacking the shit out of it.

That's the HPI isn't it. That's not a bad idea. Hold this one as reference during the build.

I think the HPI Grave Robber body is the route I’ll take. It’s going to take more paint work than I wanted to tackle but, I think I can make it work. I blew my hobby cash on gathering this round of parts. Rebuild the hobby cash and order the body, in the mean time I can carry on getting the chassis ready.

Someone did a killer job with that HPI body.

Pile-O-trans parts. Put in the metal gears and got the transmission ready to go.

Did a little clean up on wires. I'll use the AE-2 until it goes out. Same for the motor. Re- soldered everything. Extended the battery leads.

That dual roach holder is very handy.

Went ahead and tossed the driveshafts together. Not sure what the lengths will end up. I'll adjust accordingly.

Had Jack the killer attach dog watching over me as I worked. Not one single leaf will attach me in the carport.

What about a 1/14 scale or a 1/18 scale to match it up with the body?

I think it would make a cool 1/18 rig, it just wasn't what I wanted. I want to build a cool pull rig for my TF2. I ordered the 1/10 HPI Grave Robber body. Plus all the parts I had came from a SCX10 doner.

I might gather some parts down the road and make the toy ECTO-1 into a small drifter or something.

Going to have some black steelies. Would like to figure out a way to do a Cadillac style hub cap...

Just using some good ol' Rustoleum for this.

One thing (common) I screwed up on with the wheels... I didn't pay attention to the hub when I ordered. Currently pin type. I'll have to order some hex hubs.

Made some chassis mounts for the servo. Just a dry run for now. It can be mounted lower. Once more comes together I'll see if it'll work. Worth a shot. That's steel, not aluminum. Pretty stiff, I don't think it'll have any give. Time will tell.

Steelies done. Now just need the body to start setting wheel base and ride height.

Going to have to come up with shock parts or another set. I had enough parts to do three.

Rough layout of how I hope the electronics go.

I like the wheel tire combo.
