Sometimes good tools have to make the sacrifice for the greater good of the project.

You were good pointy, hooky, things.

Making the "storage tube" for one side of the rack. 8-32 all thread and some epoxy and I'm off to a start. I'll sand and paint it.

Now I've got to come up with two "air tanks" for the other side.

Got my shocks. Learned a tip from Rolandrockshop about cleaning the shock bodies, replacing the o-rings and using a few drops of silicone. It really makes a difference on the scale shocks in my experience.

These are the right shock for a "prerunner" ECTO-1. I'll need a bit stiffer rear spring but, I'm happy with the suspension now. No rub issues. Great travel. Looks cool.

Least of my worries in life. I didn't even notice it when I took the picture of the China address. If someone can do something with my address, have at it, better masterminds than me.

If bad is looking for you in any form, it will find you.

Lights just sitting on top. Had to see how it looked. I'm liking it. Can't wait to finish this thing.

Body is full of holes! It's finally ready for paint. Now I've got to come up with a warm place to paint.

Getting some color on it, finally.

Got a early b-day gift also. Friend ordered me a AE-3 with a Vanguard 2900.

Okay so I got the colors on. I'll have to do some touch work. It's getting there.

Also have a matching spare tire and wheel coming. It's getting closer. I'll do touch up paint work tommorow. I'd like to get the rack, lights, ladder all mounted up. I'm still waiting on some small Axial lights I bought to show up. New motor / esc will be here next week. I still have to finish the accessories that go on the rack. I can see the slime at the end of the tunnel.

"Whipped" up some antennas. Started on the storage tube. Roughly set the wheels on to check out the red and chrome. Progress, progress, progress.

Mounted the antennas. Mounted the wheels. Glad Shane put the idea in my head about painting the wheels. I think the red looks much better. I threw a few poser shots in for fun. Every build has to have a few poser shots, right.
