Default TT FJ Cruiser

Nothing special but I figured I'd post it up. I've seen 2 blue FJ's on here and fell into the trap. Searched for 3 months for a body and finally grabbed one off fleabay.

Pretty basic build using the scx-10 chassis but I some K44 axles for looks and the width to keep a daily driver look that can hit up the trails. Sorry for lack of pics…

Took axles apart and greased them well and I let the bearings soak in corrosion x.

Wanted to run RC4wd King Shocks but they weren't working without pour movement so I went with some OME's. Bought link material from McMaster-Carr. Pretty dang easy to do yourself this way.

This is where it sits for now. A friend of mine is working on bumpers and sliders. Hopefully I'll have some pics.

K44s look great! Nice rig. I saw that body on ebay, I actually liked the color. The white TT color looks great too.

Default TT FJ Cruiser

Thanks guys! I liked the black but the paint job was terrible, and most places I trail is deep woods and I'd like it to show up in a pic or 2… It's actually Sand storm tan. Pics didn't do it justice.

Thanks! Looked at the FJ's you've built for inspiration. I can't wait to get it back. I hope down the road I can do a simple interior and add some scale stuff.

Once the kms winch I want is back in stock I'll order it and a 4 amp HeyOk controller. I totally forgot running gear… right now unless I swap it for my other rigs stuff. AE-2 esc, 27t Axial motor, Futaba servo ?.

yeah, he's had it for awhile now, even before I built mine. I even bent him up a set of identical rails for his when I bent mine for Fj.

Yep pretty spot on. Plan to pick it up tomorrow and get to installing electronics and etc. Next weekend it's definitely gonna get some scars!

It's home for now! Got the electronics sorted out & made some simple inner fenders. I went ahead and pulled the OME shocks out. They were okay holding the weight but once it got moving it was just voicing all over. So I put some Axial Icon shocks on.
