Transfered this over from another site I had it posted on. Whoo hoo instant build thread! Well I saw this little suzuki samurai @ Rausch Creek the last time I was up there. Then the other day I was cruzin RPP's site and saw this little guy and couldn't resist: Here's the 1:1 And here's the body I picked up: Stole the front axle out of the Chevy for this build: Here's what I've got done so far: Got the running gear all done. Man it was a beotch trying to fit everything in the front with no space under the little sammi's hood. Had to angle the gear motor so the driveline angles wouldn't bind up which caused me to make a special angled mount for the servo that sits directly below the motor. Took it for a test run and seems to work well, here's some more pics: More tube work done! Coated everything in flat black, then took it for a test run over the golden crack. New obsticle I added to Hell's Revenge course. Here's a video of the real thing: The Golden Crack - YouTube Got some more of the roof tubing and rear bracing done, added the propane tank and started the dash. It flexes pretty good for being leafed in the front and back! Added the steering wheel and some stickers to match the 1:1 Nothing like a little recycling for the seats, had some old metal cabinets that were here when we bought the house: Front stinger: Almost done: The suzuki's: Removable soft top: |

Like the cut down and sanded stompers alot!!! Rig looks awesome. I enjoy having a short wheelbase, low articulation rig to run around with. Sharpens the driving skills and is a major challenge to get around which = a good time to me! Matt |

Wow! That's Awesome! You should bring it to rausch for one of the EPA comps. We crawl side by side with the 1:1's 3 times a year. It's a great weekend out.
